Thank you! This will be my next move. My only question is, what’s causing it to go low? Would it be the cap or is there a common area that it leaks from that I don’t know about?

  4. Murky/Oily Coolant

  5. Murky/Oily Coolant

Hey guys, looking for some advice or if anybody has any experience with their lower coolant reservoir looking a lot more murky and brown than the upper reservoir for their coolant. It’s 21 3.0 automatic (obviously), 32k miles. I’m led to believe the upper is intercooler and lower is engine and...
  6. Help me identify this part number

There is no part number for this O-ring. You will have to purchase a new hose, or measure the existing O-ring ID/OD/thickness and find an analogous option from variety packs on Amazon.
  7. Help me identify this part number

  8. Official Oil consumption thread: Car excessively burning oil?

Can’t tell if this is a troll post or not. This isn’t a camry to be on a 10K interval oil change schedule. Spend that door dash money on an oil change every 5K, problem solved. -RJM
  9. Official Oil consumption thread: Car excessively burning oil?

21' with about 48k miles, msi intake (installed at 40kish), with no other performance mods on stock oil. Got a low oil warning at 38/39k miles (last service prior to that was at 30k miles around december 2023) and now I got another low oil warning again at 48k. I also had an issue with coolant...
  10. Air conditioning blowing hot air

this or just check the coolant levels in the small reservoir. if it's low or empty then the a/c will blow warm. it's common to have leaks if the heat exchanger at the front of the car gets punctured by a rock or something.
  11. Air conditioning blowing hot air

My AC started blowing hot air and then no air at all. Took it to the dealer and they found that the low temp circuit coolant pump had seized. The low temp circuit pump pumps coolant to exchange heat with the AC freon. Since that particular pump had seized my AC went bye bye :(

  13. Coolant Issue

Hopefully they added HT12 and not generic coolant. In regards to the error -- Everyone'll get it with enough heat and aggressive driving. I've had to top mine off a few times during track days (Distilled water)
  14. Coolant Issue

My 2021 Supra (~22K miles) just notified me that the coolant is low. I had the system checked and no leaky was found, but the shop add ~12oz to top system off. Has any else had a similar issue with coolant being low?

  16. Dinan Valved Exhausts for the Toyota GR Supra

Loving it overall - just wishing cold starts were a bit quieter. Was going to get some sound clips, but got a lovely low coolant warning as soon as I cranked it up today. Have to get to BMW tomorrow and pick some up.
  17. Topping Off Coolant

Here's an excerpt from the owners manual. The coolant may be overfilled in the coolant reservoir when the vehicle is delivered from the factory. The normal coolant level is achieved by operating the vehicle for a longer period. So if your car wasn't overfilled slightly from the factory and the...
  18. Topping Off Coolant

So I got the low coolant alert today as I was about to take my kids on a joyride. So much for that idea unfortunately. Popped the coolant cap off and do not see much in the way of corrosion buildup around on the cap/reservoir threads. There is SOME but a very light amount (nothing like the...
  19. Low coolant !!

...warmup and a restart, the message and yellow warning triangle goes away. I've opened my reservoir when cold and no coolant is visible. Strange, as I was under the impression that low coolant means there is a leak. Sooo, I'll go pick up a gallon of coolant so i can add to my "sealed" coolant...
