Anyone getting there a91 editions for under msrp? I've seen a couple mentions of it. Saw someone on the mk5 facebook page post that he got his for $5k under msrp.
I may had missed it but with this recent arrival of a91's, were there only so many of the available 500 that came over on this last ship? Does anyone know if all of them have been allocated?
Came across this thread again. I was curious if you were still enjoying the Supra? I continue to entertain the other cars you used to own specifically the cayman and 911. I saw the mention of the rattly interior and now steering clunk.
Interesting. I wish it was being delivered a little sooner as I might be interested. That late in the year in Colorado I might as well wait until next April/May. What city?
Thanks for your review Darren! I appreciate you taking the time to write this up.
I will be too. Been trying to keep up with any news online. I so WISH they would use the 5 cylinder out of the RS3 but know that's not an option nor in the cards but sounds like the 2.0 will be receiving a nice...
I got the chance to watch his review. I feel like he echoed what a lot of others have said about the mk5. Wish it was more toyota, wind buffeting issue, visibility, etc.
As for depreciation goes I don't believe the Supra will fair as well as a Tacoma or 4Runner for example. Not that it has to be said but we all know this Toyota is 99% BMW, just because it has a Toyota emblem doesn't make it a Toyota or have the re-sell that most Toyota's have. BMW's drop like a...
I just recently watched this video. He definitely has some solid points. The area that I brought up in the comments was depreciation. While the Supra is definitely the better performance bargain and is cheaper over all especially when talking about new. A person could buy a used GTR like him and...

This may not be the thread as I dont want to de-rail the OP but I would love to hear your opinions on the Golf R vs the Supra. The Golf R is a car that I continue to look at. If you would create a "Vs." thread with your opinions that would be awesome!
I've noticed the whole attention thing mentioned in a ton in reviews of the mk5. Not exactly a selling feature for me. I remember back several years ago I used to roll around with a group of car friends. Most of us had modded domestics at the time and one of the guys received a huge settlement...
I can see this type of thinking. The Supra along with many other cars draw attention which get people to look, but could be a bad thing in a jealous persons eyes. I know I've had some vehicles in the past (nothing extremely special) that I wouldn't leave out of site as for worry someone would...
I've been saying that the Golf R for me is the car I should buy but not really the car I want LOL. It really checks a ton of boxes. I was probably a little too harsh on my comment regarding them. While it didn't completely wow me I still had a lot of fun driving it. The price is appealing as...
I can completely see your points. I didn't get to drive the car so I didn't get a feel for it but do understand how the engine layout really affects the driving feel. I had looked at and drove a Golf R a month ago and while it was fun, it didn't wow me and I'm sure you would get used to the car...
Went and looked at a RS3 last night. Way to small for a 4 door car. I'm only 5'10" and my head was hitting the roof sitting in the rear seat and knees hitting the seat in front of me. I know the Supra is only a two seater but that's okay, it is what it is, it doesn't try to be anything else. If...
