2022 2.0L base supra 43,xxx MSRP with tax 46,xxx 10k down 72 month loan. I paid about 550 a month. Cheapest new supra you can buy.

Your statement doesn't really apply to what that guy was saying. He was more so saying that if your goal is to have 3.0L power then you should simply buy a 3.0L supra. Nothing about being faster than the next guy.

I don`t think that is necessary true though. We probably are not subject to BMW dealership pricing. Same reason why its cheaper to service a BMW at a independent shop. Need to factor in dealership mark up on parts and labor.

Bought my 2.0L $500 under MSRP few months ago (Dec). They also had a 3.0L that was selling at MSRP but someone else had a deposit on it. Told me they are not doing market ups but they have less supply. One of few benefits to living in the Midwest don`t have crazy markets like the coast states.

Maybe its my area but you can pretty much order (from dealership) any mass produced car right now and buy it at sticker price. Before I bought my new supra I was looking at mustangs and BMWs. Both dealerships said I can order and car will be priced at MSRP. My boss just ordered a brand new BMW...

As long as you balance it out in financially you should be ok though. Cars are one of main my sources of motivation and happiness. So It takes high priority in the budget. I keep model cars on my desk to remind myself why I am working.

I would say over half of ALL performance cars are under maintained (to some degree) and driven aggressively.
