Donāt hesitate to deal with Philip! Heās a great salesman and extremely responsive.
Intake exhaust is awesome, I do feel like top of third falls off but thatās just npicking.
Wheels, skirts and rear spats would look great!
Generally I find the car most happy shifting around 2500-3500rpm. No issues with third gear at all, 1-2 shift a bit odd but if you shift at 3k and gas before you let go of clutch itās great.
Hey guys! Starting out my build, wanted to keep it stock but you knowā¦
Iāve owned a few MK4 supraās and wanted to go back to my roots a bit.
Day I picked it up.
Put some Michelin alpins and started winter driving it. I know everyone hates that..š
So far Iāve finally completed break in, and...
Hey all,
Rob here from Alberta Canada. Picked up my A91-MT not long ago. Tried to keep it stock but you knowā¦
I do winter drive it for all the tears š
You did exhaust as well?
I have the catted dp, intake and exhaust on the wayā¦final piece of the puzzle.
Sounds like a relatively easy gain in powerā¦
Awesome! Congrats man. Iām debating this as well, did you do OTS? Or will you run a custom tune?
I was thinking two maps, 91/93 octane. Do you have multiple?
Thanks
They were saying the traction/stability systems would be thrown off, and nobody here drives their supra in the winter. They feared Iād be the Guinea pig so I agreed and went with staggered.
I agree with you there, but all my other cars I end up babying too much and never driving it.
Youāll laugh but I have winter tires and actually winter it when itās nicer out. 70% of the car has film so Iām not too concerned.
I currently have stock exhaust yeah. I would say below 3k RPM it is mostly unchanged with AA catted DP. Little bit louder start up, mid range/higher RPM is a nice sound. It's very nice to pop between normal/sport and be civil when you need. I'm going to use bimmercode next week to tune out...
I tried to go square setup, but my dealer really recommended against it. So I went with staggered and it drives fine. Try to avoid the deep snow and push the traction button once and you can spin your tires without disabling VSC.
It's overall an unreal car to drive everyday.
Assuming you could turn it off with bimmercode?
Honestly I don't find it intrusive at all. Modern day manual driving is exceptionally easy, optional rev match, hill assist, and soft clutches.
Just enjoy the fact that we can have manual cars, and support each other in the community!
