In my case it started working perfectly after I washed the car for the first time. Maybe there was some pre delivery residue on the sensor, or some residue from the delivery paint prep, not sure, but its been spot on since. Could also just be luck and its now waiting until a future time to stop...
At the moment I just keep touching it around the area with different amounts of force. Usually works eventually. Will mention it when I take it in for it’s first service.
I only just took delivery of mine. I don't always buy the latest and greatest. As someone who loves technology, when I buy something I am fully aware that it is already out of date and superceded or will soon be. I don't buy things to make other people happy.
I find if you are less concered...
Whoa.... thats excessive. I just check my quote (from back in October) and its definiately for the new Supra. (DB42R) I am older, and have my bike, other supras and daily drivers insured with them as well. I might need to check and make sure the pricing hasn't changed.
At least you guys can get it. I noticed it wasn't in th Australian app store, sent an email to Toyota Australia. The reply 'Whats Supra Connect, we've never heard of it.' Couldn't even be bother to look up what it was... just fobbed me off. I can only assume there is a lot of mouth breathing...
I'm not sure, but I've heard the delivery from the 3rd round isn't until February next year.
I am wondering if the demand was as high as they thought, as I've noticed a few in the hands of dealers. You would think they would try and fill customer orders first? Having said that though, there...
I wonder how far Toyota Australia are going to go with Warranty voiding. As in, if there are motor/drive train warranty issues, will they try and argue the power gain from the exhaust/high flow cat were a contributing factor. Also, are the Australian ones 'quietened' down like the Europeans...
Has anyone bought one in a company name and give me a run down on the process? eg Do you reserve in your name, and then when consierge calls tell them you want it in the company name or do you have to reserve in the comany name withe the Company CRN? etc
I've been with Shannon's for my Supras, work cars and bikes and the price has always been competitive. Never the cheapest. Had a couple of claims over the years and they have always been excellent to deal with. (I don't have an MKV) I always recommend them.
The USA consumer protection body is useless. I contacted them when ECS Tuning wouldn't honor a warranty on an item I purchased from them, and got absolutely nowhere.
