  1. Dashcam External Battery + Power Station (BlackVue B-130x)

Anyone ever tried to wire a BlackVue B-130x battery unit to a Power Station for extended recording time? I currently have a BlackVue 970x Plus connected to a B-130x that is hardwired to the battery. I think the installer put a relay device. He explained that it would ensure that the dashcam...
  2. Thinkware U3000 - Anyone have this dashcam? Looking for long-term parking solution

I've had the Blackvue DR900X-2CH LTE GL before and it worked well. The only issue I had was that it didn't record for long enough when I parked it for a week long trip. I've read that the U3000 (with battery) with Radar Parking Mode can last fairly long. Anyone have experience with this camera?
  3. Summer/Winter Tires vs All-Season (CrossClimate)

I saw in another thread you are using 235/45/18. Does this lower the height of the car? Unfortunately, I think i lightly scraped the nose a couple of times with 19 oem even when driving slowly, at an angle. Some locations it's unavoidable. Just curious if I lose any clearance with the smaller...
  4. Summer/Winter Tires vs All-Season (CrossClimate)

We get snow, not heavy snow, The highways are usually clear of it and the smaller roads have tire-trails to drive on in-between the snow. There is a good amount of slush on the roads though. Lowest temp was -8. During the winter we had 78 days where the daily low was below 25F. Yeah after...
  5. Summer/Winter Tires vs All-Season (CrossClimate)

I've read very good things about the CrossClimates; good to know about the warm weather texture - it does get extremely hot here. I don't want to feel like I'm driving through marshmallow. Michelin doesn't seem to have as many size options as other brands. Is this why people recommend...
  6. Summer/Winter Tires vs All-Season (CrossClimate)

Oh, didn't know some tire shop will do that, nice. There is a Discount Tire near me. Some of their stores do store tires! I'll check with them after work. btw, thanks for the mention to the other thread - I was reading that one too. If I can store tired at the tire shop I might go that...
  7. Summer/Winter Tires vs All-Season (CrossClimate)

I live in the middle of Kansas and it gets cold in the winter (negative temps), so the summer tires won't work well here, so need to find something that will work for winter time. I am leaning toward All-Season tires, possibly Michelin Sport All-Seaon 4 (AS4) or CrossClimate2 (CC2). Which...
  8. Ceramic / PPF + Car Wash

These are the two installers I'm looking at over here in KC; they have good reviews on google and their websites look good~ https://www.cornerstonetint.com/ https://kcdetailing.com/ has anyone had any experience with either of these installers?
  9. Ceramic / PPF + Car Wash

Yeah, not an investment, I consider it a sunk cost that I won't get back. I just want a good looking car that is easy to care for.
  10. Ceramic / PPF + Car Wash

one of the shops has a track package (full front + fenders) XPEL ultimate plus for $1900. I am leaning towards this package and the ceramic tint. I'm still trying to rationalize the full PPF for $6000. If I did front PPF would the paint fade differently from the front half vs back half (since...
  11. Ceramic / PPF + Car Wash

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! I'm definitely going to do at least some PPF, trying decide whether to do just front or full. Full just costs quite a bit more. We have a lot of salt on the ground during winter time, I know in some areas it causes rust if it gets on the under-side of...
  12. Ceramic / PPF + Car Wash

I think it might be this particular region unless anyone else knows of any good installers in the Kansas City area.
  13. Ceramic / PPF + Car Wash

Greetings everyone, I've read a lot of posts and done lots of searches and appreciate all the shared info on this forum and community. I just got a Nitro Yellow Supra; it came with Toyoguard from the factory, so I couldn't exclude the spray they use to protect it - I'd rather get Ceramic...
