  1. DIY Clutch Delay Valve (CDV) Removal

Are you arguing that my data is wrong, or arguing that you're not sharp enough to feel the difference?
  2. DIY Clutch Delay Valve (CDV) Removal

Because the guy constantly conflates knowledge and understanding. Another hallmark of terrible engineering practice.
  3. DIY Clutch Delay Valve (CDV) Removal

Not in the cards unless someone wants to send me their car to get deleted.
  4. DIY Clutch Delay Valve (CDV) Removal

Everyone point and laugh at phil! I met someone once who told me some very sage advice about engineering. I'll try to quote verbatim although this is from memory, but it left an impression. "When I was starting out as an engineer, some of the best engineers I met could just look at something...
  5. DIY Clutch Delay Valve (CDV) Removal

Seems like most Hondas from the past 15-20 years all have the same CDV design. Both gens of the new CTR (FK8 and FL5) have both a CDV and a damper. I can't speak to the damper design in the FK8, in the FL5/DE5 it's a diaphragm with the fluid on one side and some sort of spring on the other. I...
  6. DIY Clutch Delay Valve (CDV) Removal

I am doing this same mod in an Integra Type S, and this time I got some before and after data to quiet down the likes of phil and others who poo-poo on this type of mod without having actually experienced the difference first-hand. Now they can argue from inexperience and willful ignorance...
  7. Clean 4500 mile A91-MT in CU Later Gray for sale

I needed something with a back seat for the pup to ride in and traded my 2023 A91-MT Edition to Jay Wolfe Acura in KC. The car is extremely clean and has almost no mods other than an AFE exhaust, which has their resonator delete installed and the included resonator in the trunk. Everything on...
  8. Tire Recommendation

I would recommend not having them shipped this time of year since a lot of those compounds can crack in the frigid temps.
  9. Manual Supra Shift Knob Options out there?

From a technical mechanical engineering perspective that's not quite true. Any mass in a simple lever system will only have an effect when the lever velocity is high enough for the mass to have an influence. Plenty of systems have masses and dampers that have zero influence until there is an...
  10. Manual Supra Shift Knob Options out there?

Looks very OEM+, can you measure the height above the console though? It seems taller but hard to tell.
  11. DIY Clutch Delay Valve (CDV) Removal

That's the part number the plastic version of the aluminum 1109 adapter that comes with the 0109 kit. You need the kit, the adapter alone is useless. The two kits that fit are the 0109 and 0100. I recommend the 0109 just because the adapter is nicer, but the 0100 will work fine too if you're...
  12. DIY Clutch Delay Valve (CDV) Removal

Motive 0109. Sounds like you let the reservoir go dry
  13. DIY Clutch Delay Valve (CDV) Removal

Hell don't feel bad, it feels like it takes me an hour just to set up and tear down the MaxJax lift. ?
  14. 2022 Supra - Clinking sound from front wheels during high lateral force.

Look at that, another commonly-known BMW issue that Toyota dealerships are wholly unaware of. This partnership has not been the greatest, if we're all being honest with each other. I wish Toyota would just sell the cars and farm out warranty service to BMW. It would be better for everyone...
  15. MKV Supra G8x LCI Steering Wheel Retrofit

My question on all of these, which I don't think any of the modders can adequately answer without a lot of expensive testing, is how safe is that airbag after having a custom cover with a plastic badge sewn onto it? Airbags are, at the best of times, a carefully controlled explosion next to...
  16. DIY Clutch Delay Valve (CDV) Removal

    I can't recommend the Motive 0109 enough.
  17. DIY Clutch Delay Valve (CDV) Removal

My advice from earlier in the thread: You need a u-joint or a wobble socket.
  18. DIY Clutch Delay Valve (CDV) Removal

You don't need much fluid, unless you let a bunch drain out of the line going back to the master. Then it will take quite a bit to get all of the bubbles out. The Motive bleeder he's using does this for you as long as you don't let the bleeder itself run dry, great bit of kit! I love mine...
  19. Clutch Slipping on stock A91 MT...

Forgive me if you've already mentioned it, I searched this thread for your name and didn't see you state anything about it: have you deleted your CDV yet? It's certainly not helping if you still have it.
  20. Clutch Slipping on stock A91 MT...

I am not sure what that would mean but yes, I only needed the slave cylinder and fluid.
