Yes it does, even when I completely disable the Supra Safety System. I thought it might have to do with the steering intervention but it happens when that is off as well.
Hi folks. I think I've narrowed down the solution but would like to hear others opinions. I have a notch at the top dead center of my steering wheel. It isn't always there, it usually shows up after about 15-20 minutes of driving, sometimes sooner. When it happens, the wheel requires force to...
2020 3.0 - I drove 7 hours yesterday, about an hour or two in my steering wheel felt strange. Almost like there is a notch or detent at top dead center. When it's happening, you can't really steer dead straight, the notch feeling moves you a tiny bit left or a tiny bit right. This happens at all...
I had this issue with the snow kit. The lines would drain back into the reservoir and it would take a while to spray again. I fixed this by putting a check valve as close as possible to the nozzle(s).
I don't think this is 100% accurate. The boost target is 43psi according to the RAM channel, the 23psi you're seeing is where the non ram channel limit caps out.
Nice! Glad to hear it worked for you too. The gearshifts on his tune are insane, they are butter smooth and it feels like it pushes the car between shifts. I highly recommend him even if you aren't having a converter issue.
Not a stupid question at all. There is plenty of fluid in there, it seems to be a known issue with the new high stall race converters. I think it has to do with the weight savings, but that's just a guess at best.
Good news for anyone who is having this issue. Rod @ Sutphin Tuning was able to help! Not only is the downshift issue gone, but my car feels like an absolute spaceship now. I highly recommend him, great customer service.
I'm still doing revisions on E50 right now, but it's a lot. The car feels like a missile. The 555r2s aren't bad at all. I'm running a 305/35/18 and when I do a hard roll there's no traction for the first 3 seconds but it grabs pretty good after that. When I need to hook I bring out the Mickeys...
I was able to do this in my old F30. I can't remember the exact numbers, but I believe I was able to get ID6 into the ID5 head unit with simple coding. Surely it's more complex in this platform, but anecdotally seems plausible.
I tried that and it happens there as well. Pure is suggesting to have a tuner look at the lock up settings and fine tune them in the TCM. Rod @ Sutphin said he's fixed a supra that has had this problem, but he's not sure if its the exact same issue. I might try that route and see where I land...
This is the exact same thing I am experiencing verbatim, burbles pausing and restarting as well. Almost always from 6th gear downshifts. This guy mentions it here at the 1 minute mark:
I'm running XHP stage 2 and it was doing it on the stock tune as well.
Has anyone else been running the new pure drivetrain solutions 8hp high stall torque converter? I've been having a few issues with mine, and have noticed I'm not the only one. When the car downshifts while off throttle, the converter unlocks between gears and it feels like it's struggling to...
BM3 works with bm3 only I believe. Visconti can be used with other tuning platforms. Fuel it is just an ethanol analyzer that bluetooths to your phone.
Same issue here. I'm custom tuned, there are no settings disable it completely. I wish I could, the car doesn't start nicely when you're running higher E content.
