Car feels perfect with JB+ and extreme contact sport 02s, noticeable difference and im a pip or two away from max. In the spring or summer I will turn it to max, but now this seems perfect.

Same here, although this was right at the end of covid so everything was still hard to find. Got lucky and found one less than 20 miles away and drove to the dealer to make a deposit

Had the same exact problem on my 2023 and gave up after contacting bimmercode who said the feature no longer works. Their only solution is to set it to always be in sport mode.

Simply mentioning that it didn't look or feel like an open return reused, it even seemed well seated into its case and everything and the screws had that feeling of being opened the first time since the factory. There was a well known issue with the chip being flashed with the wrong firmware.

Yes there is indeed a firmware flashed onto its eeprom that's on the board. I noticed mine came with max setting and an extra chip on the side where other photos on the forum showed a resistor. They have sent a new unit that arrives on Monday and I will test and let everyone know how it goes...

After running it today for the first time after install, I immediately got a CEL and the car acted like it was about to stall and started surging. after removing it immediately went back to normal again. Contact BM support to see if I got a dud unit
