  1. Drivetrain error code when driving on track

Narrator: "It was, indeed, fuel starvation after a right hander".
  2. Drivetrain error code when driving on track

I had the same error on a trackday this Weds. Mine is a B48. "Limp" went away before getting out of track, let the car cool down before the following session and it behaved properly for the rest of the day. About half a tank. All right handers bar one :D but I'm not even remotely fast. Been on...
  3. Anyone using a solar battery tender?

I use them on motorbikes. I have 3 hooked up. They did their job for the last 6 years to be honest. And I'm in the UK, so not a massive amount of sun all the time. :D You might want to do some calculation over battery capacity, but probably a 40 or 80W (not the stuff you put on the dashboard)...
  4. Tyre sizes for 9.5" and 10.5"

Just, for the record, and if it can be useful to others... I did fit the wheels and new tyres. I decided to go for 285 at the rear, after a quick test. As suggested by Apex (thanks again for the knowledge share!) there is a fairly mild stretch. Not terribly far off from the OEM PSS rear, to be...
  5. TPMS for the Supra

Thanks! I'mma transfer the originals from the OEM wheels to these new ones. I'll keep these for the spare set then.
  6. TPMS for the Supra

Bumping the thread. I am setting up a new set of wheels for my car. Will keep the OEM wheels for winter tyres. I purchased some 433Mhz sensors on eBay. Sold as original BMW, used, but never fitted. They came in (opened) BMW boxes and plastic bag, but when we fitted one at the tyre place, it...
  7. RHD/LHD headlights adjustments - non adaptive

Thanks. Apologies guys, small update on this. When I wrote the opening post I was in Europe. As I assumed the headlights beam would not change, I didn't bother to change the setting in the head unit this time. (I changed the setting previously on all my European trips, lots of them). After...
  8. No, I do not want to street race…

As an European, this is fairly funny to read.
  9. Tyre sizes for 9.5" and 10.5"

Thank you! Especially for the pics.
  10. Tyre sizes for 9.5" and 10.5"

Actually, hold that thought about what I said regarding OEM wheels and tyres.. Found both tyres (OEM sizes on OEM 2.0 wheels) and stretch is roughly the same. I must have imagined that last bit, sorry :D and the pss: For the new ones, ok I'll go a bit wider still, at the rear.
  11. Tyre sizes for 9.5" and 10.5"

    Thank you so much!
  12. Tyre sizes for 9.5" and 10.5"

Oh really? Thanks for the heads up. No, the rims are still in their boxes. I won't install them on the car for a month or two at least, so plenty of time to order the correct tyres. Thanks a lot! I gather the PS4S are naturally on the "narrower" side then? If I remember correctly, on OEM 2.0...
  13. Tyre sizes for 9.5" and 10.5"

I purchased a set of GTC02s. Front and rear are half an inch larger than the original wheels: so, 9.5" and 10.5". I don't want (and really do not need) wider tyres generally. Enkei says that you can use the original sizes (255/35 19 and 275/35 19) on those wheels, but I'd rather not have even...
  14. Retrofitting bling spot monitors (OEM)

Yep. I think I know what you are talking about!
  15. Retrofitting bling spot monitors (OEM)

Hi! That's a lot of work. Also, very envious of the skillsets ;) Cool stuff. Most probably not. Had a similar conversation around motorbikes as someone I know installed aftermarket radar at the back of their bikes (it is a thing!) and I insisted that – at least on a bike where you don't have...
  16. Retrofitting bling spot monitors (OEM)

Thank you! Ok, it's massive faff. Will live without :)
  17. Retrofitting bling spot monitors (OEM)

I think I already know the answer to this, but hey... let's validate on the forum. My car didn't come with the package that includes parking sensors and blind spot monitors. Now, I'm in the UK, so RHD car. Most of my driving is in Europe, other side of the road. Given the car's limited view at...
  18. Dashboard reading 3mph over actual speed

    m a y o e v e r y w h e r e
  19. Dashboard reading 3mph over actual speed

Yeah, same. UK: same for this too :D
  20. Dashboard reading 3mph over actual speed

It does not. As explained by razorlab above. Mechanical speedos instead, especially on bikes... another story :)
