I'm in the South East and it gets hot. I've had no issues doing ~1-2hr in the heat with my car and haven't heard of any overheating issues for either engine or trans with stock power. If you tune you'll need other cooling options.
I added some brake ducts for insurance. ~4 screws per side and...
I tried to do that and they changed my reg to HPDE-INTRO 6mo ago or so. I bailed because it was like 3x 15min sessions on a Friday vs a single day Sat or Sun.
Any easy fixes for the fuel starvation issue?
So I guess this means I'm getting faster, previously I was able to run the car down to fairly low fuel without any issues. Last weekend I hit it twice just under 40% fuel both times, and the car went into "Drivetrain Issue" mode and had almost no...
Some Road Atlanta Options before 3mo:
Sept 14-15 JZilla
July 13-14 JustTrackIt
Sept 7-8 JustTrackIt
Aug 24-25 ChinTrackDays
Oct 5-6 ChinTrackDays
Jzilla- You’ll probably see Rensuhlo. I’ll probably be there for Sept.
Chin requires a $50 yearly membership.
I can get you 10% off your first JTI...
16 track days so far this year as stock. Couple oil changes, tires, pads, and fluid.
My running costs are like ~$150/hr (Excludes: Hotel/Track Insurance/Registration). This is for tires/pads/fuel/oil/rotors/brake fluid. Which is much much lower than some of my pcar friends.
Are there any seats that retain some 'comfort features' but still allow a 6pt harness when tracking? Looking at the Recaro Sportster CS/GT, the CS doesn't support a 5/6pt belt, and the GT doesn't have heat :(
Ideally, I'd like heat and a non-fixed back. 6pt and 3pt support.
Camber plates vs LCAs? Car is fully stock other than a square tire setup and I'd like to get a bit more camber. Running a small spacer currently, so if one is better for reducing risk of rub that'd be good. Trying to keep changes/mods to a minimum if possible and retain street ability. I've...
What run group are you all signing up for and how hard is it to get into a higher group? I've never run with NASA before, but I'll have probably 8 days at Barber before this event.
I brake around 300 but definitely over breaking for the speed I’m coming into it with. Bit more speed to carry in 11, 12, 1, 5,7 for sure. I can see a 1:39 in my future.
How my track days/years did it take y'all before you stopped lifting at 135-140 on the big straights? Car feels stable, I’m just running out of balls.
Also, did a 1:41 on my 2nd time at Road Atlanta. Decent time for stock other than conti ECF/pads/fluid?
Do the large/xl fit in the Supra? Your regular is looking pretty tight against the door.
I got to try them out and I “fit” in the regular but I have one more slice of pizza this year it’s over. The large (or maybe xl I’ll double check) felt good but also a bit roomy.
What fluid did you put in? If it isn’t a high temp fluid you may boil your brakes as you get faster. I use SRF and change it once a year and bleed it every other event.
