Hi there, didn't want to start another thread, so instead circle back on this topic. Totally agree with the above post as it's my experience also.
Last Friday I test drove my friend's September 2023 build Auto GR Supra GTS and I was surprised how much better it sounds compared to my August 2023...
Yes I am aware of that, but his reference to the Resurrection as "some bullshit story of a dead guy coming back to life" more explicitly offends Christians (like myself) because this hits at the heart Christianity, Easter is the most important event in the Christian Calendar.
It ain't a bullshit story d$ckhead, get your facts straight Zachary. I'm sure you wouldn't be so offensive if The Prophet Muhammad or a Muslim event was the topic??
Not done this myself as I only just got my car, but I've read you will need BimmerCode to code the Battery Capacity & Battery Type, then use BimmerLink to actually register the new battery after coding. Now I am not sure if you need to use BimmerCode if you are replacing the OEM battery with...
Yes, I noticed 2 BimmerCode updates came through in the last week or so. Anyway, I did the iDrive soft reset and no change, ASD still not active. Might try the hard reboot per Chris's Bimmers instructions for iDrive 6.
I saw a YouTuber "Chris's Bimmers" instruction and apparently iDrive 6 or less, you supposed to hold the "mode" button + "volume" knob or "eject" button, but he said don't quote him and he was planning to show in a future video (which I think hasn't happened).
An update on my ASD saga (which is still not working), I used the Z4 option to read the ECU, like the Supra option, it states current condition is "Unassigned Value". I used expert mode and had a look at the various settings and they look normal (based on the "Bimmercode for Dummies" default...
Will give it a go tonight, does it matter if you have used the Supra option first and then use BMW Z4? Meaning for the same function i.e. ASD, if I've accessed with Supra then use Z4, could it cause a problem? I guess only one way to find out, right lol
Great it worked for you, I actually want to code it back in, though I never coded it out in the first place. It was an unintended consequence of making Auto Start/Stop active (which works perfectly), Stephan from BC said no way reading the ECU can make changes, but with all this BMW complexity...
No haven't considered it, but will now once I work out how to do it. I've only had the car 2 months so still getting used to the BMW technology (previous car was a 2014 86 GTS). Last night, I managed to reactivate my door lock/unlock chirps and iDrive tick box, initial seat belt warning using...
Hi all, looking for anyone else who may have experience this strange anomaly using Bimmercode. My GR Supra is an August 2023 build, MT, I6 Turbo, Australia destination (RHD), top spec (GTS)
For some reason (even Stephan from Bimmercode support can't explain), after coding ASS memory active...
Hi all, first post. I experienced a strange anomaly using Bimmercode. My GR Supra is an August 2023 build, MT, I6 Turbo, Australia destination (RHD), top spec (GTS), have had it for just over 1 month.
I purchased Bimmercode just to make the ASS memory active. Followed Bimmercode (v4.21.9-11493)...
