    Thank you for all the suggestions, greatly appreciated! I talked to a mechanic and they suggest something acted up with the key fob communication to car security so I would need a locksmith to resync the two(?)

    Happy New Years everyone, and thank you for the suggestions. I bought a new 2032 and volt tested it but still nothing. This problem is annoying since youā€™re locked out from BT/apple carplay connection and keyless entry. I might have to get the key reprogrammed if disconnecting the car battery...

    Duracell and energized from target, and panasonic from amazon. None has clear the missing key detected.

    Yeah I read that, but the resolution was that Toyota bought back his car since they couldnā€™t find the problem. Thread is 5 years old and this just happen recently when I changed the key fob battery.
