  1. autocross suspension

I race SCCA AX in the same city as the 2024 B Street nationals winner, and I can vouch for the facts that he still has the stock dampers, and also that he is wicked quick. I can also vouch for the Supra being very capable in stock form. I usually drive another purpose modified car (in the XB...
  2. VOONKE - Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel

Not that it matters, really, but I did get a kick out of this image where the pros and cons are reversed.
  3. Oil - 0w20 Liqui Moly Special Tec 6600 or 0w20 Liqui Moly LR?

I read through the older threads folks are moaning about here, and looked at the specs as mentioned. The BMW spec met by the 6600 was the deciding factor for me so that's what I chose.
  4. Finally the Clown Horn is no longer…

Just finished this mod on my '24 - thanks to OP for the original post and to everyone for their additional tips and info. Absolutely no problem adding the low horn, and now I won't feel like sinking down in the seat when I hit the horn.
  5. MT - de-tuned throttle map when clutch is pressed in (disengaged)

Fair enough. I think uncovering all the ways that the clutch sensor affects the ECU is important so thank you for exploring the data.
  6. MT - de-tuned throttle map when clutch is pressed in (disengaged)

Yes! A patch cable would be awesome anyway. We could put some logic probes on it and see what's going on, then interrupt signals and see the effects.
  7. MT - de-tuned throttle map when clutch is pressed in (disengaged)

I hope you get the chance to look at it - fixing this through an unlock is a valid option. It would be fantastic and a great help to the racing community if Toyota updated it themselves, but I am not optimistic right now that they will offer it.
  8. MT - de-tuned throttle map when clutch is pressed in (disengaged)

The connector faces towards the outside of the car and is easy to touch but difficult to get to. Kinda looks like a Hall effect sensor. Here's a similar (or the same) part on a BMW: And per this link, this switch does interact with a magnet on the clutch master cylinder piston - and acts as...
  9. MT - de-tuned throttle map when clutch is pressed in (disengaged)

Definitely a switch or sensor on the clutch master.
  10. MT - de-tuned throttle map when clutch is pressed in (disengaged)

On my '24, the point at which the throttle map switches over is at roughly 1-2 inches of travel up from the floor, and far enough below the clutch bite point that there is room to let the pedal up a bit after the map switches and before the clutch bite begins. It otherwise acts just as OP...
  11. U.S. Toyota Dealers without Mark Ups

Just got a call from Sand Mountain Toyota in Albertville, AL, they just received an Absolute Zero MT 3.0 Premium for sale, not pre-sold. Contact Parker Rains, I worked with him while I was looking for a Supra earlier this year. MSRP, no mark-up.
  12. Rev Matching on 2024 Supra Premium MT

2024 MT here. When upshifting or downshifting, push in the clutch and let off the gas pedal all the way. Moving the shifter to another gear causes the engine to be rev-matched to that gear and road speed just as the shift lever leaves neutral and enters the gate for that gear. The computer...
  13. My DIY Femto experience

No questions yet - just wanted to say THANK YOU for this post. I really appreciate it.
  14. FS: JB4 with Bluetooth SOLD

I'll PM you on the strut bar.
  15. Third brake light came loose on new 2024 3.0 Premium

yeah, this isn't the most robust design.
  16. PSA: 6MT owners remove your CDV

Thanks for pointing this out, I am new here, and new to the mk5, and I hadn't heard about this before.
  17. STOLEN Supra

    Definitely snake oil.
