  1. Supra vs. all the other cars I've personally owned

Nice setup. The Contis sound great for cold temp driving. Someone local was selling a barely used set of 2025 RS3 wheels at a good price and I jumped on them. I’m going to use them with Michelin Alpin PA4s for my winter setup. I ran Michelin CrossClimates on square 18’s on my Supra in the...
  2. Supra vs. all the other cars I've personally owned

Glad to hear your experience has been positive. I’ve been seeing reports of the DCT getting stuck in gear in manual shifting mode, and Audi “pre sense” bugging out slamming the brakes and setting the e brake. That last one spooked me the most. Doesn’t sound common, but I’ve seen a handful of...
  3. Supra vs. all the other cars I've personally owned

I drove a G42 M240i when they first came out. Actually went on most of the same roads I took the RS3 on. It was the most isolated, uninvolved boring drive I’ve ever had. The car was really quiet, comfortable, and fast, but very very numb. I have considered the G42 230i xDrive as a commuter in a...
  4. Supra vs. all the other cars I've personally owned

Appreciate the perspective. Did you have any other issues other than infotainment? What I don’t want to do is commute 70+ miles a day every day in my Supra (year round in Colorado). I’ve gotten by just fine two days a week the last 3 years, but 5 is pushing it. Plus the new job won’t be as...
  5. Supra vs. all the other cars I've personally owned

I took a 2026 RS3 on a long test drive recently. I found it a bit more comfortable on the highway than my Supra, and surprisingly a little more engaging and fun on one of my favorite back roads. The character of the 5 pot played a big roll in that, but what surprised me was the feedback from the...
  6. It's been a good run 6 years with the MKV Supra....

I’ve grown to like the looks of the G87 in the right color. It gives me some R34 GTR vibes with an extra dose of Lego style bulges and shapes. I’ve also had several concussions. So there’s that. If it were me I’d skip the CS, save a ton of money, and put CS engine and steering tune on the...
  7. How to Rev while Driving?

I think rereading my last post in this thread just gave me cancer too. You're welcome.
  8. New Front Lip/Splitter Design

I dig the look of this. I think a lot of the aftermarket options are way too big and don't suit the car at all. Current list price of $230 doesn't sound too bad to me either.
  9. Stateside DME unlock for July 2020+

The harbor freight case I used (Apache 2800) had eyelets on the two front corners of the case. I zip tied those so the case couldn’t be easily or accidentally unbuckled and opened. I also left a bunch of spares inside, and AutoTuner used them when return shipping.
  10. Stateside DME unlock for July 2020+

I'd be happy to pay slightly more to keep my ECU in country. Maybe they'll offer cheaper shipping options in the future. Though I know AutoTuner prides themselves on rapid turnaround.
  11. Toyota Teases GR Line Up: Supra MK6, Celica MK8, MR2 MK4, 86 MK3 and GR GT! (Bonus: Lexus LFA)

https://www.hagerty.com/media/news/report-porsche-pulls-another-u-turn-as-next-cayman-and-boxster-to-get-gas-engines/ They're getting internal combustion engines now, but probably not anytime soon. So Toyota could still beat them to it. Different buyers IMO.
  12. Post 2020 DME unlock with AutoTuner

Yeah. I ended up printing the outbound shipping label twice, but pretty small. I was able to tape it to a couple of the non-ribbed sections without issue. Autotuner had a proper plastic shipping label packet that was oversized and stayed on the ribbed area just fine.
  13. Post 2020 DME unlock with AutoTuner

Adding another datapoint for this unlock method. I sent my 2023 ECU to Autotuner last week. DHL picked it up Monday afternoon. Autotuner received it Wednesday morning, unlocked it, and sent it back same day. DHL delivered the ECU to my door Friday afternoon. I successfully tuned the ECU with...
  14. STOCK SUPRA BUT WANT BIGGEST WIDEST TIRES.

Do we know which kind of oil we should be running with wider tires on OEM wheels? Maybe 100% Venezuelan crude?
  15. Exhaust Reccomendations with Stock Downpipe

Unfortunately they don’t. As far as I know I got the last one. They took the product page down right after I ordered it. It’s a bummer because I think it’s a really good system. Sounds good all the time, and much louder with the valve open.
  16. Exhaust Reccomendations with Stock Downpipe

I took recordings before and after replacing my OEM catback. Pretty sizable difference in volume with OEM downpipe still in place. However, I don’t think most valved catbacks are 3.5” like the one I ended up with. So that probably makes a difference here...
  17. MAPerformance Catback Exhaust

That’s annoying. Good luck with the Borla. Hope you like it.
  18. MAPerformance Catback Exhaust

Their support person has been really nice to work with. They just screwed up on my order, and also seem to think they sent me the wrong tips altogether. I don’t think that’s the case, but they’re waiting for them to be manufactured before sending them out along with the clamps. If you search...
