The mirrors were open when I washed it and closed afterwards. I'll try to be more careful about hitting the mirrors with too much water next time I wash the car.

Everything started working again the other day. At first intermittently, but now everything seems to be functioning consistently. I think it's what Supra CRNA said and that the waterproofing around the mirrors is lacking. I think water got into something in the driver's side mirror and caused...

So it looks like nothing on the driver's side door switch is working. I can't put either window up or down from that switch, adjust the mirrors, or fold them in. I checked fuses F20 and F21 for the windows and both were fine. I'm not sure what to check next.

I noticed this morning that the folding side mirrors aren't folding in and that the controls in the car won't operate them to angle the mirrors or fold them in either. I washed the car yesterday, but can't see why this would have any impact on this. They were working prior to the wash though...

Not enough to make any real difference. I've just gotten used to opening the hatch prior to closing the driver's side door so that it doesn't re-latch.

Here are some pictures of where I run the cable and of the charger, which appears to charge just fine with the ground point I use.

I've had no issues so far using those points to maintain the battery over the winter.

I didn't disconnect the battery to put the cable on.

Why would the catted downpipe void your warranty, unless the issue/failure was directly related to that part?

Based on this thread, I'm guessing that's the cause.

Is there anything plugged into the OBD2 port? If so, you may want to remove it and see if that resolves the issue.

Another option is the CTEK chargers. I've got this CTEK one and it works just fine.

All this buyer's remorse and yet I haven't seen anyone disappointed that they didn't hold out for the 4 cylinder model. :dunno:

I think if you can afford the dealer markup to get one of the 500 cars available in this color, then you can probably afford to be a little flamboyant. :p
