I get this a lot in mine as well as just general twitchy/wobbly weirdness in all sorts of other situations. It was noticeable when it was stock (I mentioned it in my first impressions review 2 days after I got the car). It does it even more now its lowered and has different wheels and tyres -...
Had a look in the service manual but can't find any mention of them and they don't even exist in any of the images in there... but as others have said, torque specs for these particular nuts really aren't important. That's coming from someone who is normally very concerned with using the correct...
The service manual says in it that you can use anything up to 5w40. I asked on an engine oil forum (BTOG) and specifically mentioned that some BMW engines like thinner oil for the tight bearing clearances, and they all said run the thickest you can basically...
Got it back from powder coating today so I guess this is finished now. As you can see I smoothed over the welds on the top side of the cross beam cos they were so ugly lol probably loses a little strength but this first one was more of a practice piece anyway and I'll use it as a base to make an...
I'm going to look into this when I make the next one but yeah I think there would be just about enough room. Having said this, I spoke to my engineering friend and he said its probably more useful at the front because at the rear you've already got the whole firewall connecting from side to side...
FWIW I did my first oil and filter changed at about 1300 miles and used this Millers XF LL 5w30: https://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-60250-millers-oils-xf-longlife-5w-30-high-performance-fully-synthetic.aspx
I'd say so yeah, but I made them both separately and did the initial cutting/welding with it all on the car. So its not like I just made one and then duplicated it. So there is the chance they could be slightly different, but the angles and distances etc that I did measure, seemed to be the same.
I know someone on here installed the Cusco brace (which is very similar) and said it felt better afterwards, but personally I'm not expecting to feel much difference really. I'll be doing another track day in a couple of weeks and will have the brace finished by then, so will see if I notice any...
That's ridiculous haha and no there is not any electronics behind the emblem. Here is the official toyota service manual for the supra explaining how to install a new emblem (and the removal process literally just says heat up the bumper a bit and then pull the badge off)
First of all I'm not a professional fabricator - I just bought a welder about a year ago and watched some youtube tutorials, so don't be expecting anything amazing. Having said that, at the start of the year I made exhaust manifolds for my twin turbo 350Z build and a load of intercooler piping...
Not surprising, the calipers have BMW engraved in the back of them (like everything else on the car lol). Didn't think they would have created brand new calipers for this car, but the lack of companies offering after market pads did make me wonder. Surely if StopTech already make pads that fit...
