There is a BMW charger that does both regular and lithium ion. I use it for my Supra. BMW 61-43-2-408-594 Battery Charger. It's available on Amazon for $125. I works very well as a charger and a maintainer if it is used for long term storage.

I don't know if that meets the spec, Toyota has a specific oil for this car, and they are supposed use that for service. If they are a good dealer they should do something about this. You may have to complain to Toyota directly. I'll have to dig out my service record to see what is listed on it.
