Never updated this thread but my experience at Renton was not good. It was a waste of time and they came back an hour later only to tell me they didnāt have the right oil on hand, despite me calling days before to make sure they do have it.
Bellevue was a much better experience. They had me in...
Hereās my before and after alignment measurements after H&R lowering springs. Without the alignment I was experiencing side-to-side bouncing coming off some bumps in the road and it no longer does that now.
Are you sure? FCP Euro says that spark plug goes on the four cylinder engine and doesn't list any B58 compatibility. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-silzkbr8d8s-spark-plug-ngk-96987#description
My research is pointing to NGK 94201/SILZKGR8B8S but I also found SILZKGR8E8S being described as...
Sorry, I didnāt do it myself. I handed them over to my local Discount Tire and wasnāt able to see how they mounted them. I havenāt had any issues with them so I assume they are installed properly.
EDIT: Might be installed like this, go to 0:45
See my post here (https://www.supramkv.com/threads/huf-42607-waa02-tpms-works.4771/#post-72258) and sorry you spent that much, damn! In short, I think you may have the wrong sensors (WAA01 vs WAA02) since you shouldnāt need to do anything - my car automatically began reading temps and pressures...
I've had this type of hole plugged on the shoulder of a MPSS tire on my E92 M3 back in the day. Had no issues, even took it to the track and ran it up to 130mph+ several times and I'm still alive. ;) I just did the same kind of repair on my mother's X5, same location, and it's been holding up...
Looking for a service center I can trust with my Supra. I need trustworthy people who aren't going to abuse my car while in their care and know what they're doing.
If any of you have already worked with an SA/tech and had a positive experience with them, please let me know their contact info...
Hey all, earlier I was scouring the forums for info on what TPMS to buy for my TS-5s and saw some conflicting/inconclusive info. I hope this post helps to provide one example of a new set of TPMS that works with our cars.
Long story short, I was lazy and didn't want to get another person/car...
The Supra already has a start up roar and enabling the GTS SUR makes it slightly more aggressive. Iām trying to suppress the OEM start up roar. Hoping PTF releases it as a feature.
I just got mine put on and there is a squeak at the rear when going over speed bumps. They were installed by someone very experienced with installing springs on BMWs - said it was practically the same procedure as an F8X - so I trust they were done correctly. Hope it goes away over time.
Install went smoothly! I had no idea AMS AutoGroup was a one-man show run by its owner, Derek, and having only a receptionist and detailer as his only business partners. He completed the work in 1.5 hours without issue. I'll definitely be using this guy for future work like replacing that stupid...
I spent a few days searching around the Pierce and King County area for a shop that will install my H&R Sport Springs and found a wide range of labor charges ($905, $750, $550, and $325). To save you guys some time, AMS AutoGroup in Tacoma/Lakewood area will do it for $325 with customer-supplied...
Finally found a shop in my area that will do it for $325. Much more reasonable. I'm happy to give my business to a shop that has plenty of experience installing lowering springs on BMWs and is honest about their labor charges.
Iāve received quotes for $550 and $750, with the latter shop quoting 5 hours of work. This article here says āthe entire job could probably be finished in under an hour inside a fully equipped shop.ā...
