Going through the same BS right now. BM3 put a locked bootloader in my factory unlocked DME. Now I have a car I just refueled with the wrong mix for the stock tune I'm stuck with, and looking at downtime and additional expense (bench unlock) with no guarantee this won't happen again in the future.

Can't go wrong with a square setup. I've ran many on past M cars.
I'm not tracking the Supra (yet anyways) and these make for a great street setup. To be sure, a substantial improvement over stock.
