I can't recall, now, which lighting I installed (I know they were from Amazon) but they did come with an in-line, multi-purpose switch which I mounted low on the rear of the console. The lights are activated when any door/hatch is opened and stay on until the car is turned off for 5-6 minutes...
ECU=Electronic Control Unit. Your inquiry is redundant as there are many ECUs in the Supra. Exactly which ECU info do you need? You cannot "wipe" an ECU.
On the iPhone 12, go to Carplay and delete any association with the Supra. On the car's display, delete reference to your phone. Setup once again using Carplay. I've had my Supra for 18 months and never had a problem.
I'm going to be setting up an appt. with Desert Toyota soon due to the recall. Frankly, I hope they DO reset all my bimmercodes to factory...I lost track of which was which.
I use Desert Toyota. I think I was the first in Tucson to own a Supra (3/2020) and had to virtually train their service guy on what oil to stock and etc. With only 6K miles iIve already been given two free oil changed there.
im not fond of Precision Toyota.
Interesting. I have been using the obdii with an ethernet cable & bluetooth. The other day, I tried and couldn't gain access. Soooo...I tried the bluetooth adapter and it worked. I had suspected a blown fuse but it couldn't be if the BT adapter works. Screwy.
Thereās a screw down in the vicinity of the front fuse box. Thereās another in the passenger footwell on the side of the center console.
I tied into the rear view mirror for power however. With taps you can just pluck the 12v there without messing with the fuse box. Power goes off after 6...
With 3000 miles, I just had the car aligned. For those don't know, there's a real problem with the factory alignment. 3 of the 4 wheels were out of alignment. You have 12 months/10K miles from the date of purchase to have this covered under warranty. I missed it by two months. <argh!>
I looked at the LL-04 but I see this a lot:
BMW never approved LL-04 for US gasoline engines because of the high sulfur content in our gasoline. It was approved for use in European gasoline and since 2014 the US and European fuels have a closer formula.
I changed the oil at 1200mi at a...
I've had to learn more about engine oil than I ever wanted. The upcoming C6 specs seem to be the answer.
I reside in the AZ desert with temps regularly reaching 106F. As such I've wanted to swing over to a heavier oil but finding anything with the C5 spec is difficult. Therefore, I've...
When analyzing oil-weight only, I'm sure you're correct. However, we can't forget about the oil make-up. BMW, in European cars, use a slightly different oil makeup (due to sulfated ash) than we do in ours because of fuel standards. I've been unable to locate anything other than 0W-20 in the...
That all depends upon the dealership, apparently. I had mine changed at 1200 on the freebie. The only thing the service manager said is that now I have to wait for 10000 for the other freebie.
