The kit was missing or came with improper clamps/ bolts and coming with no instructions meant I had to install and reinstall multiple times for proper alignment. For example: one of the studs needed either turned upside down or cut down otherwise there was a slight gap between the manifold and...
Docrace is fine if you don't need support. Found issues during install and had to self-diagnose everything since I couldn't get them to ever reply.
Go AMS, P2uned or Fullrace since the support is there.. Go cheap if you know what you're doing and support isn't needed.
Your tuner is a wise man. The only positive reviews you can find on this guy were either sponsored by Vargas or those people simply haven't been burned by them yet.
I would love to know more about this. I blew my motor up the other week and wonder what caused this for you. Did your turbo blow? I see a lot of shrapnel in the intake port.
You won't find a kit that'll push that kinda power but you might be able to find someone to sell you a kit minus the turbo? The only problem you might run into there is that a 78-80mm turbo will not fit any of the standard "kit" manifolds. Most likely you'll need to go custom.
Are you working on commission? ?
I've been following these guys and it looks like a promising kit however I'd wait and see dyno numbers if your wanting 900-1,000whp.. I have a BW 74mm compressor and it will realistically only make 1,000whp. Keep in mind the most efficient 65mm's on the market...
P2uned and Full-Race manifolds are nice but offer less control than OEM wastegate i.e. boost-by-gear and low boost pressure will be gone.. plus those manifolds require dual wastegates and BOV so there's a much higher upfront cost.
I suggest a different tuner. I've heard they are a pain but...
I doubt they will sell separate from a kit. Beside, their manifolds are typically very specific to the rest of their kit so you probably don't want just a manifold. I suggest going with Full-Race.
