Correct. you don't need to be braking. I take my foot off the accelerator as well though. not sure what it'll do if you've got the accelerator to the floor and then try and shift down. can't imagine that's gonna be very smooth.
Even without braking, if I keep the down lever held for a few seconds it will put me in the lowest gear that is safe for the rpm. I can then accelerate and will need to upshift manually until I put it back into 'D'. I've not tried holding it while continuing to brake to a stop.
wow. ESS = supercharger, right?
so none of my Z4s were modified. I did track days in both the E85 3.0 and the E89 35iS. Purely recreational, i.e. not trying to set serious lap laptimes. The E85 was much tighter. the E89 was faster on the straights, but that's about it. The Supra is tighter and...
I am absolutely useless at anything handy and even I managed to do the porting, so I think it's worth saving the money and doing it yourself. that said I did need to buy a few tools that I'm unlikely to use again so maybe there is an advantage to buying a pre-made up panel.
I've had 1 x E85 (3.0) and 5 x E89s (mix of 35i and 35iS). I'd say the Supra is more comparable to the E89 as with the metal top up it feels like a coupe. I'd say the E89 35iS is better value for money and with a bit of money spent on tuning and suspension would be just as much fun to drive as...
Looks nice (actually nicer than the current gen I think), but it would be an RS4 or RS6 as the "dog car" for me if I can ever give up the comforts of the Range Rover.
Does anyone know, if I buy a "used" BM3 licence will I get an OTS map with it? If I do get a map will it just be the one that the previous user purchased? thx
In case it helps anyone, this is the response I got from BM3: "Like on new licenses you will have one free map credit and the option to...
I'd definitely recommend taking your favorite music to the dealer and spending some time with the car and its audio system. I really regret not doing this, as I wouldn't have bought the car knowing what I do now. Of course where the audio system sits in your list of reasons to buy a car is...
Just in case there are others as new to this as me, Iām going to add what Iām learning along the way.
It helped to lay all the cut dynamat pieces down for a test fit before sticking anything.
I also realised Iāll need some sort of cleaning solvent to prep the trunk area before sticking down...
I'm starting to work on this so dumb questions incoming...I've removed the round plastic clip top centre. I don't see how that helps with access. can I now yank the sub enclosure upwards?
Hi. You can get plate mounts that attach to the tow mount. they are usually suited to the US plates so need a bit of modding for the wider UK plates. It looks like the plates in AUS are similar.
