I'm so happy to be back in the Supra! I've been off and on the forums for the last six months, any big developments in the community?
I figure this thread would be good for any new owners or those like myself waiting to get in a Supra.
There's not a lot of us out here in the Gulf. Not on the forums at least. Once I get my car back I'll come back to this thread. I want to put a Gulf Coast Supra Saturday together in the next couple of months.
Is there an update on this? My friend bought a 2021 and he said it came with remote start. I'm assuming the previous owner must have installed some kind of remote start kit.
Update: I replaced the Vanos intake actuator about two weeks ago and no longer throwing codes or receiving a CEL even under extreme load.
Hopefully this info helps someone else down the line.
I've been seeing more post about the VANOS stuff over the last coupe of month. Generating post to share my experience with the community.
Error code 130715 VANOS, intake, control error, Camshaft stuck
I did a hard pull entering the freeway Friday and ran a CEL. Code check ran as 130715, VANOS...
BRZ. Reason: that low cost to own, fun factor, customization, and semi practical. The money you'll save on fuel, repair, maintenance, etc can all go to other cars, investments, mods, sound, etc.
I argue a close second is the Lexus and get an F badge on it. You've seen the comments though...
I'd love to see the manual available for purchase in some shape or form. I'd personally never buy it; I have nothing but love for the ZF8.
What I really want is a friend with a manual Supra that would hopefully let me drive it one day. :)
