Well, sorry for the bad news, but Carbahn was unable to unlock my DME. They were apologetic and said they think they’ll have it figured out in a week.

I agree, big difference. The carbahn tune has to unlock the DME to work. That’s why it hasn’t been available until now. They’re claiming they can. I should know more tomorrow.

Update: the tuner in Florida wasn’t able to tune my car. He shipped my DME out to California. Carbahn told me they can tune it and know how to get around the 06/20 locked DME’s. I should know more by Tuesday.

I’m doing it Dec 30th, I’ll let you know.

I haven’t done anything to fix it and Toyota is monitoring. They inspected as much as they know how and think the engine is normal. I’ve had to add a second quart of oil and I’m at 2500 miles. One track day went through almost a liter of Toyota’s recommended oil.

Hey everyone, I just got a call from CarBahn Autoworks and they said they can unbench and tune the 2021 Supra with a DME date on or after 6/20. I’ve been on their waiting list for a couple months. They do the tune at a BMW dealership near my house and it comes with a warranty.

Thanks. I had them look for leaks or metal in the oil. All was well, but still concerns me.

Has anyone had to add oil after 1k miles? The car reported that it was at the minimum oil level and said to add a quart. This was fairly normal driving for the first 1k miles. Then I did a track day yesterday at Homestead, and it reported low oil again, I’m at 2k miles and have had to add two...
