I replaced an oil pump recently for this issue. I had to drop the whole front subframe and support the engine with poll jacks. Really wasnāt that bad to do being my first time.
I do not own this car Iām a Toyota tech. The customer has been complaining about oil consumption since day one but has passed the test twice so heās not getting anything from me.
I was told by Toyota to replace the oil pressure control valve and it that doesnāt fix it then replace the oil pump. The repair looks miserable and the time they want to pay me to do it is unrealistic. Iām praying the valve fixes it.
I wouldnāt go to a dealer. If your car hit my bay I wouldnāt touch it with out you paying diag time and would be sending pictures and ecu files to Toyota immediately.
Iāve done just that to a customer. Car was so low i had to put the car on the alignment rack. Told customer to put back stock suspension and gave a price on two new axles. He left
I ordered one months ago. Took some time to come in and I removed the old one and it was wrong. My parts manager canāt figure out what part number it needs. Still waiting
