Oh good lord! I’ve been driving high performance cars for 30 years, you can drop the “driver mod”nonsense. Everybody knows this car is tail happy and has the potential of bump steer. The car was maybe at 7/10th with a smooth throttle and no jerkiness, no other car I’ve ever had has exhibited...
So I usually drive around with all the nannies on. When I take long sweeping turns every now and and gently accelerate into the turn I can see the track to control kicking on. I know this means the rear end is slipping out, but this happens on rare occasions, and the nanny always catches it...
I have a SnapOn TW, but I used a small hand ratchet so I couldn’t put too much torque into it. I’ve read several stories on this forum and others that say they stripped the plug using a torque wrench and torquing to spec.
You know that feeling you get when your tightening a bolt and it’s snug, but your think it still needs a pinch more to be safe and when you turn it it to snug it up that little bit more it rotates but doesn’t get tighter.
that’s why I think, just that gut feeling.
There’s a little bit more to the story, I think, I’m not sure, but I think, I may have potentially stripped the old pan drain plug, or at least began to strip it. Crazy part is I was barely giving out any twerk by hand with a small ratchet. It’s good for now, but if they I take it out and...
I have an oil extractor I use in my 944 Porsche turbo because it has a dipstick and I can go down the dipstick tube and extract the oil. Easy Peezy, however, on the Supra there is no dipstick. Is there any way you can extract oil on this car from above or only through draining it through the oil...
I’m lowered on HR springs, but I run 265/40’s up front. Contis run wide, so there is no stretch. You need to be careful with 275s and Contis as I remember because the inner perch of your spring can sometimes rub on the tire. There is a whole thread from Apex on this form somewhere.
I have Apex in those sizes, different wheel though. One thing to keep in mind is it’s a bit hard to find a non track oriented 305. For instance I run a continental 18x 295 on the rear and they don’t even make a 305 in 18. At least not on Tirerack.
Just got my polished tips today. Seems really high quality. Haven’t installed them yet. No instructions but they seem to just push on.
is there any issue of these backing off? Also should’ve I need to remove them will the OEM get marred?
No sound clips. Sounds like pretty much like all the sound clips you’ve probably already seen/heard. I didn’t notice much of any change with the mid pipe w resonator installed.
I went back to the stock set up.
