  1. C&D: Supra vs Z vs M240 vs Mach 1

Interesting to see the 91 octane notes. I think even the Supraā€™s manual says something about ā€œHP rating is based on premium fuel." Don't recall if it specifically says 93 or 91 octane, but I also recall reading around somewhere that BMW tends to rate HP numbers based on what the engine can...

  4. Front collision avoidance system.

I believe you can also adjust the sensitivity of the auto braking if you think it's too twitchy and happening in when you're not "that close."
  5. Halp!

You should suction the rest of the dash to make it match ;)
  6. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

Oh, absolutely, but it does speak a bit to Nissan's intentions with the car. People who can buy a 40-50k car to mod off the showroom floor should arguably understand the risk they're taking, and be willing to pony up the cash if they blow it up. But as we've seen in...pretty much any...
  7. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

There's someone in the YT comments saying "this has to be a safety mode for the journalists! They wouldn't sell a car configured this way!"
  8. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

Camissa is at it again, going into a lot of interesting details about how much Nissan tuned the Z to protect itself. He also walked back a little of his comment about the Bridgestones. Short notes: Dead steering Stock tune has boost suddenly increasing from 4-5K RPM that breaks the tires...
  9. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

It was already posted earlier. With a different font, even.
  10. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

I'm still waiting for the track video Camissa promised on Reddit, but it's cool that he's giving us the no BS fanboying take. At least one other reviewer hinted at the Z being a bitch to control, and the Sport trim will only be worse.
  11. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

Camissa says has has lap times in his pocket, and will have a video coming out soon showing the Z on track.
  12. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

I'm happy to volunteer my stock 2021 for any side by side dyno testing in SoCal. I don't think my little duckbill or Maxton aero bits add any power lol
  13. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

Wait, someone actually put a new Z on a dyno? Did they do the AT as well?
  14. Did the Sport Z just kill off the Supra 2.0?

I know even Nissan is basically saying "we know you're gonna mod it," but making big drivetrain mods to a brand new, 40k+ car isn't something I personally want to do, especially if I have a loan out on it. I wouldn't at all be surprised if the price of LSDs for the new Z go up because the ones...
  15. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

I'm sure we'll have plenty to talk about once some of those Z boys actually get cars in their driveways and start coming for us down in "Mexico."
  16. Did the Sport Z just kill off the Supra 2.0?

I agree from an overall perspective. It's been said before, but the base Z really is for people who are either going to mod it immediately, or don't understand what it's lacking. Those narrower tires, lack of LSD, and relatively affordability are probably going to make it the next Mustang in...
  17. Did the Sport Z just kill off the Supra 2.0?

Yā€™all really get obsessed with power numbers. Some people wanted a well balanced, beautiful (effectively) luxury sports car that got decent gas mileage with modern safety features. Itā€™s still cheaper than the equivalent BMW, and turns heads. Of course, Iā€™m just speaking for my girlfriend. I got...
  18. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

By Jalopnikā€™s argument, the R35 GTR, which people only want and like because of the numbers it posted up on track and drag, isnā€™t a memorable car.
  19. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

Once again sounds like it's been tuned for street driving and comfort, and not track.
  20. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

Doesn't the Performance Z come with the same tire size as the Supra? Like 275 in the rear? Maybe the tires they chose don't have as good traction, but sure sounds like (from other reviews too) Nissan just didn't tune the thing for hooking up quickly. Even Supra folks gripe about lack of traction...
