Is it like a creaking type sound? I have that in my drivers seat. I found it stems from where the plastic meets the leather on the left side (the plastic of where the buttons to adjust the seat position are.) I can take a picture later to show what I mean.
I revisited the exhaust today. It took a good while to get the length they extend out even, and try to center the tips again. I ended up using some stainless steel zip ties to keep the exhaust hangers in place like you did. I had to remove the brace for them to work, hopefully it won't move...
I'm annoyed with mine. The driver side exhaust extends further out than the passenger side. Probably about a good 1" or so. I traced all the fittings back to the Y-splitter and everything is as snug as can be. Glad you got yours fixed!
Wow, thanks for posting this. I have a horrible rattling in the climate control area I can't find for the life of me. It's like something internal rattling around and it drives me crazy. Looks like I might need to take it apart!
I have a GoPro mic'd up externally clipped onto the rear license plate. This is in sport-mode. Car is stock otherwise. I'm going to get some better clips thrown together eventually.
The install went pretty good this weekend. The biggest PITA was getting the car jacked up. Had to try 3 different jacks before we got one that could reach the jacking points and give the height needed for the stands.
The install itself was pretty easy once we got the car up. I need to go back...
Cool, thanks for the assurance guys. I bought a new set of jack stands (and adapters) that should give about 16" of clearance. I also got the Tomei Type D, can't wait to hear how it sounds!
I'm (hopefully) going to replace my exhaust this weekend. I don't have access to a lift, so the car will have to be placed either on jack stands, or ramps.
Most jack stands I've seen offer between 10-15" of room, but I don't know how much I would need to comfortably do this? Ramps may be...
I at least took a picture of the oil measurement last night when I got home showing it at normal levels, and the dealership is less than 3 miles away. I'll bring that up when I pick my car up later. :/
Edit - They called and found the cap in the engine bay. He talked to the technician and...
Yeah about that. I brought it in and got a call a few hours later....they tell me the oil cap was missing and the car was now a few quarts low. Honestly, no idea what happened. I 100% remember putting the cap back on and making sure it clicked into place. I even ran a measurement when I got to...
lol yikes! Iām going to have its oil changed tomorrow.
- Checked the container I used to refill and it was just under 2qts total. So at worst, it's 1qt. overfilled.
- Oil level was still under max and 'normal' when I measured it.
We'll see what happens tomorrow.
The level on the info screen said it was below minimum level and to add 1 qt. After adding the 1qt and driving to the gym, I took another measurement (and again when I got home) and it was still saying to add another quart.
I added another ~1.5qt this morning and had no issues driving to work...
I hit 5300 miles and got the low engine oil alert for the first time.
Added about 2-3 quarts of oil, since it was below the minimum level (took 3 measurements in different locations that looked level.) Engine oil then read at a normal amount, not going over max fill.
The day after I got a...
California has shitty laws and has decibel limits on road cars with aftermarket exhausts. If you are pulled over for it and it exceeds a certain db at 5k rpm, you have to remove the exhaust and pay a hefty fine. ?
That doesnāt stop most people anyway. The Akra exhaust is just really loud so I...
