I had a 2016 manual 2.0l BRZ (bought new), went to a 2022 auto 3.0l Supra. Both the European versions.
The BRZ was much more raw to drive, practical with 4 seats, steering feel was excellent, but understeery at the limit, engine was disappointing outside of twisty roads (straights or track)...
I’m not answering the OP question but I always use this pic as reminder:

Could also come from brake pads with too much friction in the rear.
I also agree you might need more pressure in front
I was in Akihabara, which belongs to Tokyo. Japan is everywhere very clean and organized, way more than Germany where I live, which is already very neat for Europe.
Japan is amazing to visit as tourist, and still has an incredible car culture.
Thanks for your feedbacks!
I also consider the supra to be a little beast out of the box. I'm not as talented as your friend, but regularly keep up and overtake >100k€ cars that should let me in the dust.
For tires I run the Goodyear eagle f1 supersport. They are not semis or 200TW but have...
Thanks for your feedbacks! Glad to hear some very positive experiences.
I like slightly oversteer, especially in slow corners, and you are both on square tire setup, which I would also like to avoid (German TÜV, etc...), so with only front bar I will definitively have an understeery pig.
My...
Hi everyone,
Thank you very much, for this thread, lot to read and to think!
I just finished my season, this car is a beast even with the EU engine. My car is fully stock except brakes, and I want to modify it as little as possible.
That said, I have been thinking about installing aftermarket...
I know speed engineering makes a intake but its marketed for more flow, not more sound.
I know it’s not what you are asking and probably not diy, but have you considered the “back box delete” some UK guys are doing?

I have none yet. The car is a late 2022, only summer registered and I improve it step by step. I wasn't so convinced with steel brake lines on my Subaru BRZ, but DOT4 I will change for sure soon.
I think we stole a bit the OP thread now
For the first point, my target is to reduce cost in the long term ;) . I actually have sufficient braking performance with sport pads, even without the cooling ducts.
By inside the disc, I mean the cold air is directed at the center of the rotor, not on the braking surfaces.
For the soft...
I forgot the most important:
With a brake cooling kit, all the fresh air is sent inside the disc, and none to the caliber.
I don't know if it is linked, but I felt like my pedal was very soft after parking, and it is maybe because the caliber is not so well cooled down during my cooling lap. I...
That one:
Bremsenkühlung passend für Toyota Supra MK5 / Z4 G29 - SPEED (speedengineering.de)
You need to trim the mud guard a little bit on the right side.
I did not measure anything to be honest, but from last weekend my rear discs are a bit blue, and the front aren't.
It might be...
Well from my side, except the tires and pads, I only bought a brake cooling kit (from Speed Engineering), and my reasoning was that it would enable me to have less pads wear and potentially to use cheaper pads. Any thoughts on that?
From what I understand, Yes, but also a little No :dunno:
A quick serach gave me that:

Well I feel extremely sad to see the Emira failing like this. This means the company will focus on electric SUVs and other junk.
On the other side I agree that the pricing is very wrong, and the emira competition is caymans, supras, TTRS and at least in Europe the Alpine S which is placed 30k€...
Well installing an aftermarket is a fair point and I don't want to complain too much but I have a few reasons:
That's an expensive solution, and I prefer to use my money on trackdays
I live in Germany and anything visually different needs to be TÜV approved. Even in the best case scenario, it's...
I consider the supra to be a nice grand tourer first. So for city and highway in comfort mode.
As I have a european model, the exhaust is very quiet in both mode so I coded the valve to be opened in both modes.
On twisty roads, sport mode but mostly for the steering/pedal feel, suspensions in...
The EU Supra has twin scroll turbo (instead of single turbo entry) but more compression, and a particulate filter.
This means we have less power especially in high rpm, but a bit more torque in very low rpm. The EU are very quiet because of the filter, but a lot of english guys make the „black...
