That has not been my experience. I have found that they can be really noisy and have issues with speed bumps. I was under the impression that lower control arms would be a better option.

On some platforms with not high quality plates, that can be correct. As far as speed bumps, are you talking about clunking? Again, good camber plates do not.
I would say that spherical bearings in suspension arms have more of an ability to add NVH than good camber plates.
I have all my front suspension arms changed to sphericals and run camber plates and have zero clunking and not much added NVH, if any.
When I did have clunking, it was from crappy SPL components failing.
Either way, arms will do what you need, they just cost more.

You are making me rethink options. What camber plates have you found work best on your mkv and what parts did you replace to for the sphericals?

Also, would that setup work OK with the rest being stock? I am not looking to put in anti-roll bars etc. yet - taking one step at a time...

Arms will do what you want for sure, they just cost more. Also, if you are just depending on arms for camber you need to be careful about it influencing caster, unless you get adjustable caster arms as well. Which also adds to the cost.
If using factory spring diameter, that will also limit camber plate adjustment at some point. (spring will hit shock tower)

I will 2nd Bryan's "Quality camber plates do not add a bunch of NVH" statement. I have the Verus camber plates that are designed to work with stock springs, and they're plenty well-mannered on the street. I have well over 15k miles on mine.

FLCA alone will still only get so much. With the Verkline and no other changes I could only -2.8ish° before running out of other adjustment. I think we ran out of the thread on the tie rod ends, IIRC but it's been a minute.

I did FLCAs first. I would not recommend it. Do camber plates. Alignement shop tried to target my desired camber and it resulted in a tun of unwanted caster, to the point where it put my tire against my bumper in situations at the track, resulting in the corner of my bumper having been worn away.
Combination of FLCAs causing unwated caster, and the alignment shop for not doing a tire sweep which may had savedmy bumper.

Good idea on going slowly. I can 3rd what Bryan said. My SPL parts started failing fast, once going fast(er). So much that I’m actually replacing them all ?. Their FLCA went out on me 1st, they were nice enough to sent me the replacement parts for free, but still… then the rear traction arm started slipping badly, and now the rest are showing more wiggle room than they use to after a track weekend. I’m on 275/35-18 tires, sway bars, Ohlins, and Vorschlag camber plates, without rubbing. I can’t wait to chime in later that the Verkline hold up 10k miles later (11k miles now). I already have the Verkline rear traction arms installed. The Verkline front end goodies will be going on before my next track weekend. The rest of their rear stuff, I have to save up more coin ?.
This past weekend at Sebring I hit a new pb. It’s kinda fun being in the top 10 (on the Garmin Catalyst) at a track frequented so heavily. That won’t last long but still…. this Toyota/BMW runs with pretty impressive company once you get her setup. Hopefully with a seat, I should be able to drop down to that optimal time much easier.

I have the millway camber plates, can't feel any different nvh or comfort wise honestly. Swaybar degrades comfort much more in comparison.
You apparently need close to -4deg camber to have a nice wear in the front though, and this is a lot for the road.

For the peeps that want to log CAN data at 50hz+ (like brake pressure, steering angle, etc) but don't have/want a full AIM or Racecapture setup but have a phone/tablet... We are working on something super cool.

Barber is amazing. Really difficult to drive fast. And definitely not a Supra track. But the facilities are immaculate and the museum is a great time too. Would highly recommend it.Dammit. And that’s hilarious! There goes my theory of why I liked em better or why they were faster for me. Need to update their marketing material. I’ve been placebo driving all this time, lol.
What did you think of the updated buyer guide? Mostly accurate? So many tires I wanna try out now!

? Can you tell I liked my previous race shop & the one I’m at now? Especially after going to my local Toyota dealer.
And no offense to either of ya. I appreciate everyone’s advice. Only way I learn. I’d go to either of y’all’s “race shop” in a heartbeat, if I wouldn’t get kicked out so quickly for asking too many questions ? Remember the soup nazi on Seinfeld? In order to get the best soup in town, just had to keep your head down or “no soup for you!”
