Whether it's honest or not. What makes a track "not a Supra track"?

Supra has amazing torque and power. Does really great at your Sebrings, Road America, Daytona, COTA, VIR, etc. Barber doesn't have any long straights to really wind out the B58 over and over. Barber cares more about aero/suspension and tires than power. What makes a track "not a Supra track"?
With that logic you could say Lime Rock is absolutely not a Supra track. It's a very short and technical track, yet supras are some of the fastest cars there.Supra had amazing torque and power. Of course its fast at Limerock. Its still a fast car, thats not what I'm saying. Some slower cars can do just as good as much faster cars at certain tracks. Take Roebling for example. With that logic you could say Lime Rock is absolutely not a Supra track. It's a very short and technical track, yet supras are some of the fastest cars there.
Not arguing here either. I just was curious what you meant. I find the Supra with it's short wheel base and good power can be adept at all types of tracks.Of course its fast at Limerock. Not starting an argument here. Just my experienced racing background. Carry on.
It's better than most other cars. I have my race s2000 so I come from an incredibly light, nimble and not big HP chassis. Not arguing here either. I just was curious what you meant. I find the Supra with it's short wheel base and good power can be adept at all types of tracks.
Roebling is definitely a great example. It's not technical in the typical way and weight reduction benefits outweigh horsepower for the most part.Take Roebling for example.
I hear ya & totally get it. I‘m not a S2K traitor, just a Supra believer now ? Nothing like a S2K’s ability to rotate on a dime. So freaking nimble!!!! But… some of these guys have amazing aero & suspensions to go with their Supras (like Bryan, Chuck, Bob, to name a few). Down here you see a larger variety of slightly older BMWs competing with aero crushing it! This last weekend a buddy in similar spec BMW (weight & hp) did 2:16 at Sebring - with aero - like you said.Barber cares more about aero/suspension and tires than power.
Hey that's my friend Alex's car! I was paddocked next to him in the garages and hung out with him all weekend. What a freaking great drive by him. I just wish I could solve my mysterious misfire so I could reset the TT4 record.I hear ya & totally get it. I‘m not a S2K traitor, just a Supra believer now ? I’m pretty confident our Zupras could do similar (with a seat in my case) and aero. At least closer to 2:20 for me 4sho!
I love Roebling. Haven't been back since I did the TT4 record 2 years ago. Roebling looks easy on paper but it's way more technical in person. My moto for RRR is, "It's easy to drive but hard to drive fast."Roebling is definitely a great example. Even harder to stay on track.I love Roebling. Haven't been back since I did the TT4 record 2 years ago. Roebling looks easy on paper but it's way more technical in person. My moto for RRR is, "It's easy to drive but hard to drive fast."
Amazing car control. No harm no foul there. T4 can bite HARD. That whole track is fast. Out of all the track is I've done all around the country (around 160 track days total) T3 at Roebling is the only one that gives me the "uh oh" feeling. Zero room for error if it walks at 110mph.Even harder to stay on track.

Wide entry and extra speed pushed him out there. Love seeing the aero being tested with the dust cloud ?
Could you give a look over my lap and nitpick any improvement areas? I'm hunting the TT3 lap record. I'm about 1s off right now and I know I have .3-.5s to gain in T1 if I release the brake a little faster to make the speed bleed off at a slower rate before I reach vmin. I'm thinking similar concept on T4, T5, and T6.I love Roebling. Haven't been back since I did the TT4 record 2 years ago. Roebling looks easy on paper but it's way more technical in person.
