I'm 6'2 260lbs with a 34-36 waist depending on pants brand... was curious if anyone had any thoughts on the WRC-R XL size?
The tough part isn’t what seat fits you best; it’s what seat not only fits you but also fits in the car. I don’t know that the XL will fit in the car. I have the standard WRC-R and the seat has to be positioned on the rails farthest toward the center console and the door shuts with only about 2-4mm to spare.

Right thats always the challenge. I'm about to just buy a kirkey road race seat and call it good.. there's not really anything smaller that fits a large driver.

Per someone else on the forums I know, his HTR-R XL is 21.8" Wide and are into the plastic that goes around the seatbelt. I did some searching and the WRC-R XL appears to be wider so I don't think it'll fit.

I’m 6’ and wife 5’6”. To get us both fitting perfectly, we added Racetech cushions. And now we both fit as snug as a bug ? in a rug. Friends let us try theirs (in our seat - they Velcro in). It didn’t take long to realized what we were missing. You can get the perfect height you need with various sizes/thickness. It’s like adding a gel cushion to your shoe, while still feeling everything on the road as intended.

Just want to contribute to this thread as I used it for some really useful info. Perhaps useful info for anyone in the future looking at using this combo.

I was able to fit a Recaro SPG XL into the driver side using a PCI slider and base. It's a REALLY tight fit with the eye bolts towards the right, but that's because I shifted the base as close as possible to the tunnel to better center-align the seat with the steering wheel. Also, the highest point of the seat is maybe 1cm from the head liner when pushed all the way back -- but this is because I have the seat at it's highest setting on the rail, since I'm pretty short.

For those who retain use of the stock seat belt, did y'all use a seat belt extender? I've seen applications that put the sock buckle next to the seat, into the seat and into with an extender. I'll be installing a Sparco Evo S with Macht Schnell base and slider next month.

I went from a Sparco Evo to OMP WRC-R and it has much more support and is more comfortable.

I'm a bit shorter though. 5'10" and 33 waist.

I have the same OMP seats as @razorlab above. I did buy the seat belt extender pros buckle extender adapter; but I ended up not using/needing it.

For coding, I used bimmer-remote with a good experience.

Do you buckle over the thigh bolsters? If so, that is a recipe for The Hunt for Red October.
Haha… now there’s a movie reference that put a visual in my brain immediately.

Nah. The red buckle receptacle lines right up with the side hole of the seat; so I just buckle it in there. The car is primarily trailered now anyways and rarely street driven. If I had to do a longer trip, I’ll use the extender. ??

Same as razorlab, using PCI brackets and seatbelt extender for every day use with the 3-point belt.

Y'all are the best, thank you! Will post an update when the seat is installed -- there's a pretty sizable delay on the MS Clubsport mounts.

Good read and a lot of great info here, looking to get the new Recaro RSS for my Supra. No plans to use a harness , going with oem seatbelt and extender.
