Great ideas. Unfortunately right now it appears they make neither the PS5 nor the Contact 7 in my size yet. It seems like these are mostly OEM tires on a few select models in this early stage. Thanks.
I was digging around in one of the BMW forums, I think it was Bimmerforum. There were posts from M owners who replaced their MPSS with the MPS4s and regretted it due to the steering feel being a bit vaguer. Some were even saying they would be going back to the MPSS when the MPS4s wore out. That...
So I have 33k miles on the original Michelin Pilot Super Sports and looking to replace them. This is my daily driver around town.
I want to try new tires, but it seems comparable tires lack the steering feel (which I define as how quickly and precisely the tires respond to steering inputs) of...
Do the contis extreme contact feel as tight and sharp when changing lanes as the mpss or do they feel a tad looser or greasier, to use very scientific terms?
Thanks, as I am looking for new tires and like the firmness and lack of roll on the stock tires.
Having owned a 22 2.0 with over 30k miles, other than a handful of insecure, micro phalliced individuals, my experience is that this car gets nothing but love in the real world. As my daily driver, it has more than enough real world performance for the street. I used to obsess over which car was...
Revisiting this thread to see if there are any shops in the Phoenix area that you would trust to do a rear brake job. I do all my own basic maintenance like oil changes but would like to find a non-dealer option for slightly more involed maintenance items like brakes. I called some of the...
Hi,
So the car is notifying me that the rear brakes need to be changed in 1,400 miles. The dealership wants $380 plus tax.
2 questions:
1. Any thoughts on having the dealer do it or are there any other reputable shops in the Phoenix area you recommend?
2. Do the rotors need to be replaced...
I assume our brake pads have wear sensors. Question: does the Supra’s (brake) idiot light appear and do the brakes make a squealing noise when the pads wear down to the sensors? Thanks
Although not too exciting, a benefit is these minor cosmetic updates keep all model years looking fresh and strengthening resale values across the Mk5 line.
I had the same question. Looks like there is an “infinity” symbol embedded so I assumed it was the car’s MPG since day one as it seems like it cannot be reset. I don’t recall seeing this symbol in the owner’s manual but I could be wrong. Thanks
