They replaced mine because I couldnāt measure oil level properly. The sensor was also broken, so I had extensive work done just to get that working again. Then still was burning 2quarts every 1000miles.
Eventually they opted to replace the entire long block.
Glad I sold it.
I just used the stock maps. Iāve heard with a ācustomā map this effect can be nullified somewhat.
I just wouldnāt recommend this to anyone. Itās silly when the Femto unlock is so cheap now, and the MHD base maps are so good and refined.
It feels like adding boost lag. I had the JB4 for a while, I really hated it. Had to put my foot down and wait for the JB4 to respond, then wait for boost to build. It practically doubled the latency of the gas pedal.
maybe if all you do is roll race, this is fine. I hated it on track.
Hey guys,
Iām parting out. Hereās my wheels and tires. I will also throw in the apex stud conversion kit (75mm) so you can quickly mount and rotate these bad boys.
Tread has lots of life left, as I only drove a few thousand miles. Additionally I had one of the tires replaced and never drove...
Totally normal behavior. It will always burn a little. BMW says itās supposed to eat 1q every 1500 miles basically.
donāt add oil to the engine until the car tells you too. Donāt overfill.
if you notice having to fill a few times between oil changes thatās fine. If you fill 4-5 times between...
No, the car starts with almost 7 quarts. It needs to burn at least 1.5q before it shows the minimum oil level message. Itās a fail safe to prevent the user from overfilling the engine.
