Are you using the cable or wireless? I got a femto unlock and everything was fine flashing bm3 with the cable. Had to click on ignore flash warning but that's it, flashed normally.

I haven't had such issues while driving in -40 this week in Alberta. Although the gas cap has to be pre-opened while warm because it will not open when it's outside, or close.
