  1. Oil where the intake attaches to the turbo

Yep just checked and those clips seem fine. No oil residue. I ended up uninstalling the whole intake so I can see the surrounding area better. Couldn’t find much of a source of a leak. but I did notice some blackened oil residue on the underside of the charge pipe towards the bottom of the...
  2. Oil where the intake attaches to the turbo

Which connector are you referring to?
  3. Oil where the intake attaches to the turbo

Yeah I noticed it was completely loose when I was cleaning the filter ? but after reinstalling and wiping the coupler, I noticed some newer oil residue on the outside again. Coupler still on correctly
  4. Oil where the intake attaches to the turbo

Sorry for reviving this thread. But just wondering if you ever figured it out? I also have an armaspeed intake and just noticed I have oil residue on the OUTSIDE of the pipe. Consensus is that it's normal on the inside, but not sure about the oustide.
  5. trash site

I would have just gotten them from the dealership if they weren’t charging $400 PER rotor ?
  6. trash site

SOLVED: I decided to order one off Amazon to compare, and sure enough the Amazon one had the vanes pointing in the right direction. I’m wondering now if the original one was a knock off that somebody returned or if it’s a manufacturing defect. The original’s stamping is not as dark as the new...

Here are the photos of the actual model numbers stamped on the rotor. and a side by side comparison of the directional vanes. Also note the different packaging just for the one rotor
  8. trash site

Yes I know. I did buy both part numbers. I’ll take some pics of the rotors themselves when I get back
  9. trash site

I have triple-checked the part number 09.D095.13 and even the engraving on the rotor matches. I did notice the packaging for the passenger is different than the other 3. Their website even shows a diagram showing the direction pointing forward. Just wondering if this is intentional or could...
  10. trash site

I just bought a set of Brembo rotors and I understand the fronts are directional. However, I noticed the driver’s side directional vanes on the rotor points to the rear, and the passenger side points foward. Is this how it’s supposed to be? I was under the assumption that the vanes on either...
  11. First Brake Service- Need Clarification

This is Powerstop’s recommended bed in procedure: 1. Perform 5 moderate to aggressive stops from 40 mph down to 10 mph in rapid succession. 2. Perform 5 moderate stops from 35 mph to 5 mph in rapidsuccession. 3. Drive for 5 minutes at a moderate speed. I have a feeling this is not as...
  12. First Brake Service- Need Clarification

Just ordered Powerstop Z16 pads to replace the stock dust monsters. My question is will I need to or is it necessary to resurface the rotors since it's going to be a change of pad material? Or will a proper bed-in suffice? Also, for the pad wear sensors, is it the same part numbers for front...
  13. Driver assist functions don’t appear to be working

Thanks for the video. What I’m gathering is that all the safety systems pretty much only trigger when absolutely necessary. Like I said, I’m used to Lexus’s RCTA where it alerts if there’s a car coming down the lane within a 25 foot radius or a pedestrian is walking across my rear when I’m...
  14. Driver assist functions don’t appear to be working

Im surprised there aren’t more threads about this lol. Seems like everyone either doesn’t really care about it or just suffers silently haha
  15. Driver assist functions don’t appear to be working

I’m the same way. Sure, every dealership claims they have a “well-trained Supra Tech” but this is the same tech that told me to wait till 10k miles for an oil change. I’m hesitant to even bring my car for an oil change. Who knows what actually goes on behind the scenes and if they’re actually...
  16. Driver assist functions don’t appear to be working

Yeah I feel like that kinda defeats the purpose if people/cars have to be within 5 feet of the car. I wonder how that would play out in a parking lot where some idiot is gassing it while you're backing out
  17. Driver assist functions don’t appear to be working

Most of my cars were Lexuses(Lexi?) and the rear traffic alerts were pretty straight forward. Any car, or pedestrians, coming towards me while I’m backing out, would give me a clear alert. Since I started daily driving the Supra, 3500 miles in, I have yet to see/hear the cross traffic alerts...
  18. PCV Valve Screw Stripped (Suggestions?)

So I would use the torx bit or would Philips work too for rounded heads regardless?
  19. PCV Valve Screw Stripped (Suggestions?)

It’s just the screw head that’s rounded. So I should use a Phillips even though it’s a T27? Nonetheless, I’ll have to try to find a replacement screw for that before attempting to remove it
  20. PCV Valve Screw Stripped (Suggestions?)

So I was installing my armaspeed intake today, and even with the utmost care, I broke the clip on the intake inlet end. Luckily, I had a spare prepared for this exact reason. I decided to change it for peace of mind since I know I’ll probably never touch it after the new intake was in anyways...
