  1. Safety Recall Question

tbf, he didn't deny it. He just warned me that if he proceeds then the ECU will brick and I won't be able to start the car. I didn't know if he knew something I didn't so I decided against it for now since I need my car tomorrow. I'll just uninstallthe JB4 and reschedule an appt at another...
  2. Safety Recall Question

Might have to and reschedule an appt. So I guess were just under the impression that the guy saw all the JB4 wiring in the engine bay and said "nope, not going to deal with this."
  3. Safety Recall Question

How do I rebuttal what he's saying? I am not too keen on all the workings around the situation; I tried to tell him that the tune is a piggyback tune, not an actual ECU tune, but he was adamant that the ECU could fry the car could fail to start. I even put the map back to 0 and unplugged the OBD...
  4. Safety Recall Question

Finally made some time to bring the supra to the dealership to address this recall. The technician mentioned that he couldn't fix the recall issue due to the tune caused by the JB4. He stated that if he resets the ECU it'll damage it and the car will fail to start. Am I screwed on fixing the...

  6. Safety Recall Question

Just got sent a safety recall notification regarding loss of breaking assist. Will require an ECU update. Sorry if this is an obvious question, but I have a JB4 installed. Do I need to prep the car by going back to stock tune before bringing it in or do i just need to unplug the JB4 from the...

  8. Help identifying part

I noticed that but didn’t feel like there was a groove to put a gasket in. Either way, gonna take the car apart when it comes back from the shop today and pull out the charge pipe. Ended up ordering the gasket too from the part you listed. Hopefully it works.
  9. Help identifying part

Unless it isn’t rubber, I didn’t see one. The pipe also didnt seat very well. I’ll need to take pictures of it next time i take my car apart to give a better visual. I readjusted the angle of the pipe multiple times but it never seemed to feel fully secure in there. i really hope it’s just user...

Dude you’re a lifesaver. Thank you.
  11. Help identifying part

So I recently tried installing the FTP charge pipe. The smaller inlet that connects to the turbo had did not seem to have a gasket that came with it and so I thought the gasket from the OEM would fit. There didn’t seem to be a groove to fit it in properly and so i just placed it within the inlet...

  13. Spring settling time

Damn, that sounds like a common issue... I really hope that's the case. You're a hero, sir. I'll be sure to reference this video if they debate me on this. Thank you~
  14. Spring settling time

Tbh I have no idea. I didn't know the correct question to ask at the moment to get that clarified. The driver's side is a lot lower so there might have been an installation oversight on the passenger side. I probably won't find out until I get my jack to inspect it myself. Would it be obvious if...
  15. Spring settling time

Hello, Recently had HKS Hipermax Touring springs installed about two weeks ago. An issue I’m concerned about is how long these springs, or springs in general, take to settle in. The ride height all around is fairly nice but the passenger side is dumped but I can i still fit about three fingers...
  16. Meatier Tires on Stock Wheels

Funny as in the rear might look sucked into the tire?
  17. Meatier Tires on Stock Wheels

Hello, First time posting here. I tried searching for this question, and I feel there was a similar answer, but it wasn't clear enough for me to know. I recently got some new tires (Nitto Nt555 G2 265/35/19 Fronts | 305/30/19 Back), and I was wondering if the stock wheels can fit these tires...
