$60k for 340 horsepower? At that point you’re just paying for the Supra name. It sounds fantastic, though, and it’s good to finally get a good listen to the exhaust and see some more body lines. I’m excited to see what comes outta this.
A Corolla GR would be a cool thing to see-- I think it'd be a worthy competitor to the GTI. I'm a bit confused though, is it the author of this article stating we need a new Celica and MR2?
I do have to apologize for my misinformation. This last week has been quite stressful, and I most certainly should not have posted what I did. I own up to screwing up, so my apologies!
You're talking about a top-tier Supra Turbo. Assuming so, your numbers still are rather large according to my findings. In 1997, https://www.topspeed.com/cars/toyota/1993-1998-toyota-supra-ar163626.html states that the top trim Supra Turbo cost $39,900. While, yes, this number with about 2%...
I'm so fed up with putting my energy towards hoping for a manual and an affordable base model. I'm just going to get a BRZ (which will actually provoke driving pleasure with a proper manual transmission) and call it a day. I don't understand why it's such a hard concept to grasp to just offer...
Production starting early next year probably means we'll be seeing a production version revealed in the latter half of this year. Hopefully not too much longer. I think Tada understands how we all feel, and is genuinely trying to make everybody happy; we all know that's never possible. Honestly...
So, I saw an article from Car and Driver pop up on my Facebook feed this morning, and I think you guys might like this:

Thankfully the guys from...
I'm certainly hoping so. It would also back up the claims from a few months ago that said Toyota will have three sports cars in their lineup again. I would take a manual Celica as a budget Supra any day! It would make a fantastic daily driver for me.
Very true. This has also crossed my mind...
We know the base model(s) will have a four-cylinder. By this logic, they will not be a Supra. I may be going out on an extremely long limb, but how likely do we think it is that the four-cylinder trim level(s) will be under a different name, possibly with a manual option, since BMW mates a...
I so agree with this. Honestly, if the base model will have a 248 horsepower turbo four, I'll GLADLY take that. I drive a lightly modified 2004 Civic right not, and my next car I would like to be in the $25k-$35k range. Ideally, if the base Supra lands around $32k with that turbo 4, I'll be a...
Damn. The front end is a bit more round than I've expected, but I'm liking what I'm seeing. Fingers crossed for at least the base model to be affordable and available with a manual option.
EDIT: Just read the article on motor1.com which contain these spy shots, and if the turbo four has 248...
I can really see both sides. If we're getting four trim levels, each with different engine options, I think a targa wouldn't be something to rule out. Unlikely, yes, but it could happen. I'd be all over a targa Supra.
I think there have been a few test mules spied, because I've seen less extreme examples of these headlights. I'm assuming this shows a difference in trim level, but I could be wrong; this is a good example. BTW just headed on over to this forum from the CivicX forum since I saw renders leaked...
