Bought the AA catted downpipe from http://www.merakiautoworks.com/ and took about a business day shipping to get to my door. Helps that AA is a 2 hour drive from me. Installed on 2021 Supra around 15k miles. Stoked no CEL after install with proper break in period. About a week later (200 miles) CEL came on so I cleared the code and repeated break in. CEL would come on consistently within 5 minutes of driving off from cold start Every 2 weeks so my guess every 200 miles. About the 7th time this happens I text meraki with pics of CEL and he said contact AA for warranty. Reached out to Rob at AA and he didn’t give me a hard time at all. Rob offer was to visit his AA facility and he would look to see why CEL for R&D and even replace if needed. Stopped by his shop today and he explained the whole down pipe manufacturing and sourcing. For Quality control they move forward welding their own parts now. Great to see they had the new M5 engine out to fabricate future parts. Rob gave me a tour of the facility of welding bays and future products.
End result they took my downpipe out, remove/replace a part they figure might be the cause of O2 P0141 and assure they will take care of me If CEL returns. I don’t know what’s consider proprietary information so I left out a lot of details.
I bought the AA with the price tag trying to avoid the CEL but nothing in life is garentee. ActiveAutowerks defines what a proper business should be. Shop was stack in employees in the bay and in the office. Didn’t notice anyone was overworked. Comfortable waiting room with unlimited coffee/soda/snacks/Tv/wifi. True family style management and gave me the same hospitality. Products they sell made in America. like Everyone who bought or will buy AA downpipe, I can say they will take care of you If issue arise.
We spend so much time on only reporting negative issues so I wanted to leave something positive for a change.

When I get more free time I’ll start a new start to finish issue on the famous “can’t read oil level past 18%”. That work over a month to fix.

Great since you live there

Unfortunately other threads on this forum have mentioned they are slow to respond

What was the fix? Was it a spacer for the 2nd O2 sensor?

I have the AA catted down pipe and the CEL comes and goes on its own. It seems to light up when revving the engine to around 3K too soon after startup, even though the engine temp gauge shows the engine is warm.

Glad to hear they were able to help you out! It definitely does help that you're local since they can diagnose in person..

Regardless AA does stay behind their products, if the downpipe is purchased through us, we work with AA to find a resolution.
