I’ve found that my JB4 is very limited compared to my shops software (Snapon for example). I was pulling a few codes on my JB4 and lo and behold… the shop had pages of stuff/codes. I have a catless downpipe, so I’m proud of my CEL (it goes off and on). But that’s me 
. It’s a nice added feature that the JB4 can read some codes but I wouldn’t use it for your main diagnostic needs.
