Engine bay clip

I purchased the NVS specialties carbon engine bay covers I got the right one installed fine but on the left side I ran into a issue I can’t seem to get this one clip removed it seems to be connected to the windshield wiper fluid sprayer but I can’t seem to break it loose I’ve tried pinching both sides and just pulling on it with force. Can anybody help or give some ideas? Photos below to show the clip top photo is from the underside bottom photo is the top side

Or just jam a screwdriver under it and pop it out.

I tried that also, it will not budge at all I’m afraid If I add more pressure with the panel trim tool I will snap the clip in half or something

I mean.. that's not the worst thing. Nothing a zip tie won't fix. It takes some force to get it out of there.
