Regardless, can’t they just stick to racing and stop trying to jam an agenda down our throats? I didn’t realize it was so pushy in your neck of the woods as well ?

Just pointing out that F1 is a global sport and Sky isn't trying to jam anything down "our throats". My company is a UK company and the parent company or owners to that is Italian company. And they very much seems to want everything as "green as can be" It seems here in the US we push back more than the rest of the world when it comes to "green" and to EV. Just through business dealings most are sure let me research this or I'm interested in learning. here in the US its "fuck that you don't tell me what to drive ThIs Is MuRiCa"

My mama from WV. Beautiful country ?

Yeah that push in the beginning of SKY network to huff it and walk everywhere when we go all electric was pretty scary. Last thing I want to think of when watching a F1 race is rolling blackouts and hoofin it. Luckily we recorded it and I could fast forward. Nice trains though. I’d do that if I lived in a big city. Regardless, can’t they just stick to racing and stop trying to jam an agenda down our throats? I didn’t realize it was so pushy in your neck of the woods as well ?
What am I missing? I watched on the F1 app but don't remember anything other than racing. I did skip past the reset, right to the start. Is that why?

I hear and read that a lot, but I have to say I've never witnessed it myself.

I‘ve got a cold ? So I‘m being a bit more whiny bitch. I do like that about America ? Independence. A‘int gonna lie. Market driven society, capitalism, less gobment intervention, & more choices in general. But I like everyone - diversity in general. So bring it all on. Different strokes for different folks!

So correction, it wasn’t a jam down your throat, I just wasn’t expecting it... The Sky peeps little walk to the track mini series in the beginning wasn’t bad. I learn something new everyday. They have nice trains over there. I‘d ride em. It won‘t work everywhere but nice to see an effort to improve anywhere we can.

I’ve been meaning to watch formula E series. Curious to how long those can drive on track and recharge. My little ads in the bottom corner of the iPad keep showing it. The Indy series didn’t do it for me and I never got into NASCAR. Hence enjoying the ? out of F1

Anyone got a prediction for this weekend?

how about an aggressive pit strategy from Aston Martin for Alonzo, Stroll crashes to bring out a safety car at the right time, Alonzo wins his first race for Aston Martin!
Well it could happen right?

I think this may be the first race where Max and RB push the car closer to the limits. Podium- Max, Sianz, Alonzo

I wouldn't not have guessed that qualifying. Still I think Max will pull it off, When they are on point RB has some insane pit strategy that just work.

I read in a couple articles that Ferrari have been listening to Sainz about having more say in car setup and development over Leclerc. He has had a uptick in form recently over Leclerc so maybe true? Tomorrow may actually be a really good race :)

I don’t know, the Red Bulls looked down on pace and slightly out of sync. If they can figure it out, Max might get the win, but at this point it looks like he’ll need some luck.

I’m thinking we might see Sainz, Russell and Norris on the podium tomorrow.

Well got Stroll crashing out lolol, poor kid lol.

Id love to know what goes through his dads head when he shunts it like that... I really like Stroll, but based off his teammate he is getting shown up big time... of course it is Alonzo, i believe he has only been beaten 3 times in his F1 career by a teammate? And the last time, with Ocon i think it was more team doing then anything else.

Max will have to pull something out of his hat, like Miami. But I think it's not going to happen. Their race pace wasn't that much better than the rest. If there's no rain, I don't think it'll happen.

Haha, my prediction was a tongue in cheek joke about the circumstances around crash-gate which go Alonzo a win at this same circuit.
Frankly I wonder too, I mean I know that big Stroll owns the team but there are other investors and sponsors that have a say in what’s happening. I’m not sure if there has been any splits or something but Aston Martin’s stock is down significantly in the past 12 months or so.

edit, up 81% in the past year but down significantly over a 2 year period

I know RB likes to set up their cars for the race vs quali, but dang. Perez didn't surprise me but Max did. Should be exciting to watch him work his way through traffic. Can he avoid the blockages well enough to end up in front???
Congrats to Sainz. If you are any type of F1 fan, you kinda/sorta gotta have certain feelings towards Ferrari. I like seeing them do well.
Stroll.... I swear I could do better. LOL

Stroll post qualy:

--He reckoned that a combination of losing time to the FIA weighing his car, traffic, dirty air and poor tyre preparation prompted him to ‘send it’ in a bid to scrape into Q2.

The Canadian said: “We just weren’t really improving on that last lap with the out-lap being really bad. I had a lot of traffic, guys trying to make the line at the end.

“We got stopped at the weighbridge so that put us at the back of the queue and then I had to try and pass a bunch of cars to get my lap in before the end of the session.”--

Time for him to retire and hang out and be a track day instructor for amateur Tesla racers.

There are about 19 other guys who seemed to do without binning their cars. Retiring would be a wise move. It would seem he's not a "pressure situation" type of guy.
