EDIT: NOW $300
Hello everyone,
I'm listing my front lip mold and plug I made from scratch to produce a fiberglass "aimgain style" front lip. I have a post here that includes some more pictures and a but of explanation: https://www.supramkv.com/threads/fully-3d-printed-1-1-scale-a90-supra.18269/post-285684
The plug is fully 3d printed using a 1:10 scale model and scaled up to full size. It is held together via adhesive and a fiberglass backing to ensure it does not flex or break during the mold making process.
The mold is a fiberglass mold made with 3-4 layers of chopped strand with a gel coat work surface. It was used twice and successfully produced a fiberglass lip that I ran on my car! Unfortunately I made the dumb decision of forgoing the OEM hardware and using rivnuts...which were too small for the holes which resulted in the lip flying off and disintegrating at about 135 mph on track ?
My reason for selling is basically, I am going toward a more dedicates track car and want to make a splitter. And due to the fact that I live in an apartment, this thing takes up way too much space.
Anyway, I WILL NOT be shipping (i have no idea how id even begin to ship these things lol) and would prefer to do a semi-local sale here in Pittsburgh, PA. I'm willing to drive a reasonable distance, so feel free to shoot me a DM and we can try to workout something.
As for price, I'm genuinely not sure what to put although for someone who knows what they're doing, this could provide a lot of value. So $300 OBO.
Feel free to ask any questions, I'd be happy to help. I'd be willing to coach the buyer through how to use it as well. I've helped @bo.nguyenn on Instagram to produce his own from scratch with zero 3d printing experience, so it can definitely be done!
Thanks! ?
