Is there any coding for this? I know I can turn them off on the panel but I often forget and would prefer not to have them on during the day.

Turning this off on mine in Idrive, doesn't show up. ?

What country are you in? Some places it's illegal to turn them off.

The US, Arizona. I see that many cars do not have daytime lights here, including current year and recent years. I noticed this when I finally disconnected the daytime lights on my FJ cruiser as it would eat through headlight and I just put in LEDs and didn't want them to burn out. So I disconnected the circuitry for them and not they work when I turn them on. So not required here.

I do have Bimmer Link installed. I wonder if this changed it?

I had to use Bimmer Code to turn on the ability to turn on or off the daytime lights. Now it is working like I want it to.

Iā€™ll try to look it up tonight. I know I had it turned off at some point but then ended up preferring the look with them on. Hopefully I didnā€™t dream this up

I have them off now. Used Bimmercode. With how much I drive it and the expensive replacement and knowing how my FJ Cruiser that did have the constant on went through lights, I can't see it. Also, the safety it provides is a low %.

I know you turned them off already through coding but maybe for the benefit of the search. This is what I was talking about, I had this unchecked so everything stayed off til evening obviously:
