Anybody have clearance issues with the 2021 strut bar? Installed my Injen Evo2300 Evolution intake and the strut bar hits the airbox near the hump in the box where the filter fits in. I can bolt the strut bar down but it pushes down the airbox about 1/8" due to the strut bar interference. Anybody else have this issue?

TIA

I have a 2021 with the factory strut bars and that same intake, there is plenty of clearance. You likely don’t have the airbox seated all the way down.

I can nearly wrap my fingers around it all the way down, and I have sausage fingers.

I have a ton of room where the bar bolts to strut tower, but on the end of the bar near the bumper where the bar goes over the filter itself is where I'm hitting. I've pushed down in that area with all my weight and the box just flexes. There is a grommet by the inlet to the airbox. I'm seated there fully. There just isn't enough space there from the grommet to the strut bar. Can you put your finger at the centerline of the filter where it goes under the strut bar and snap a picture?

FWIW I'm no mechanic but have built an engine from the ground up by hand and I still struggled a tad with seating the intake lol

Make sure you're not trying to push the grommets vertically into the slots but sliding them in horizontally and then pushing in whatever mounting plugs I assume are on the bottom of your respective intake.

I think maybe the hump hose that connects to the turbo needs to be adjusted. I'm thinking the pipe going into the filter is holding the box up slightly. So I just push it down to clear and the pipe springs it back up. I don't think there is a ton of clearance, but it won't hit. I'll give that a try.

?? So it’s much closer than I remembered it being, but there is a small air gap.
