Does anyone know the thread sizing of the OEM oil drain plug bolt? I'm replacing it with an aftermarket option but can't find the size.

I see that the BMW Z4 is M12-1.50. Does anyone know if this is the same for the Supra?

Great, thank you!

Since I'm likely going to be doing my own maintenance, I'm going to install an oil drain valve to make things a bit easier.
Yeah I figured as such but was just wondering which brand you might be looking at. I've used 'em for years on all kinds of cars but I'll add that I just did a change after break-in with these two items and not a single drop spilled. They worked perfectly together and no digging around in a hot pan of oil for the drain plug. :D One disposable glove tossed and OEM drain bolt w/ new crush washer back in.

I haven't decided as to which valve to go with yet. I have some on other cars but haven't gotten to the actual oil change after install yet so can't say if I like them.

I'm still looking around for the Supra to see if there are any interesting designs I'd like to try.

I've used Fumoto and even old Fram Sure Drain years ago.. Don't laugh, They work well. I've been looking at https://www.nospillsystems.com/index.cfm until I did my change recently but will just stay with the OEM plug as it drains so fast with no mess using those items posted above. I'll still be interested to follow what you go with though.

I've been looking at all those options but just haven't decided on which. I'll definitely let you know after my first oil change. You can also subscribe to my youtube to see it when I make the video

FYI, I've just got this and just did my first oil change, I didn't get to use the actual drain valve and hose, but the plug fits perfectly and I'll see if the cap leaks or not in few days.
That's good news man. I went with these to catch the drain plug....It's perfect for staying w/ the OEM plug and not having to dig around for it. My local dealer is way too picky for if I ever have to bring it in for anything...

I wanted something with a cover for when I get lazy, so went with this one.
But after the first use of the drain plug, I technically shouldn't need the drain pan, but because the darn oil is 6.5L 5+1+1 or 5+5, I would have to keep my eyes on the empty oil bottles filling up. Whatever not so expensive things to worry too much about. Car is healthy and breathing again :)

2 things I've discovered. I don't know if both were pure coincidence...
1) When I went in the menu to measure oil, I couldn't click on it despite the drive I had. Exited the menu, got back in, then it was available.
2) Went in the on board computer menu to reset, it said reset was possible and set it at 6000 miles. But when I pressed yes, it said unsuccessful. I tried once again and the reset was successful, this time at 9000miles. So, moral of the story, don't give up ?
