Thank you! This is helpful and I will give it a try. Sounds like as a fellow single exit owner you know the 2k rpm drone I’m talking about ?

Got my SP1-R exhaust on the car and sounds excellent. I’ll have clips later when I get some time and better weather. Couple of notes:

1. Fitment is tight so be super careful when installing and torquing everything down as stuff will shift. I had to hammer some room on the heat shield to give me clearance that I was comfortable with.
2. Drone was definitely tolerable. In fact it is was better than the boost logic exhaust I was coming from. BUT my car is a manual so i cruise at 2500 rpm or higher most of the time at freeway speeds. I can definitely feel drone discomfort if my car is under 2k.
3. Exhaust gets significantly hotter compared to my old exhaust. Probably because it’s single exit but it’s important to make sure nothing touches for this reason.

I've been holding off on ordering mine. I reached out to a company that sells the exhaust, and they actually responded pretty quickly that they are no longer selling the exhaust for the time being due to ship dates not being met. Super sad because i absolutely love the look of the 5 in. single exit exhaust. Hopefully they can get it sorted and start producing more before i settle for a different exhaust.

TBH I would recommend moving on if you haven’t put in an order yet. Although I am generally pleased with the finished product, the wait period and lack of communication was simply not worth it. Previously he may have been able to deliver on time but I would expect wait times to now be well over the 12 weeks he sets on his website and the experience from more recent orders seems to be that it’s getting worse.

He must make them in batches, but I don't know the size of the batches. A month ago, a fellow forum member had posted that he was order 1122, and that he had finally received confirmation that he was getting his shipped after threatening to cancel the order. I contacted SP1R asking if mine was part of the same batch, seeing that I'm only a few order numbers different. He said that I was not, but it shouldn't be long as he was waiting on parts (Oct 17th). Few weeks went by, contacted again on Nov 6th and got a reply from him that Nov 18th-20th "arrival to you". It's now Nov 22nd and I have not heard anything.

Seems to be a very small-time shop and I can certainly appreciate the hustle this guy is putting in to accommodate all the orders, I just wish there was better communication. I placed my order on 8/6/2024 and was to 8-12 weeks. We are on 15.5 weeks.

What's your SP order #?

Its time. I’ll swing by with the AWE and we can install it on your car. You’ll love it

Nobody in the history of owning an A90 has posted a video with this exhaust paired up to a catless downpipe.

Curious myself. I'm incapable of searching, please give me the answers without me having to put in effort :(
