The details here ARE NOT MENTIONED in the videos.

If you are thinking of swapping out the steering wheel and airbag you need to watch these videos and read THIS post carefully. I was going to make a YouTube video but with my unfortunate demonitization, I’m not inclined to make any more new content. However it is where my source videos reside, so I’ll link them here.

Watch the entire videos first…. Then start your install.

NOTE: ONLY REMOVE THE NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL.

KEYWORD: Steering Wheel, Airbag, Air Bag, Carbon Fiber

I could have really used these instructions a week ago but alas. Whoever is going to do this, please pay attention to these very important instructions.

Two days too late ? I wish I thought of the zip tie idea when I tried to transfer the airbag into the new steering wheel compartment. That’s a brilliant idea. Thanks for the tips

Am I tripping?
Installed the custom steering wheel and airbag cover.. went well more or less but now the upper part of the airbag has little travel and if I were to use the horn, it will barely work or won’t work at all. Can someone check how it is for them and what’s the gap on the top part of the wheel? Maybe it was like that before and I’m just mad.

sorry for the bump but rather not create a new thread
Any advice on how to remove aftermarket steering wheel that doesnt have the indicator to know where to poke through to release the airbag?

edit: can't find my oem wheel ?
