Im going to start this thread so all us members as a collective can post our reviews / experiences with all the different companies, vendors and shops out there . The point is for us members to find the best service pricing customer service and products being offered out there . And also get real world input from other members! GOOD OR BAD POST IT UP !
pro-spec auto sport in Quincy ,MA - ran into them on ebay . I picked up a beautiful set of wheels from them . They quickly answered all my questions . Responded to any concerns within a great time frame and not only confirmed the wheels would fit they test fitted them on a customers car and sent me pictures and videos of them. AWESOME!!! Highly recommend these guys !
autotalent.com - Google searching for the HKS adjustable springs they popped up . They had a discount code and already were the best priced out there. I place a order being a little unsure as ive never used them before . Boy did they prove me wrong in 2 DAYS !!! I had my springs at my doorstep . 2DAYS!! From ordering I received instant confirmation and invoice details. The next day first thing boom tracking number. I about fell over when I saw they would be delivered the next day almost didn't believe it. AWESOME ! can't thank you guys enough best price and fastest shipping for sure! Check them out
Extreme Power House - Searching for the hks dry suction intake I came across a thread they left a comment on advertising they had them for the best price shipped. I sent a email that night inquiring about the intake and soon to be hks charge pipe. I didn't hear something back right away so I said fuck it Im going to place an order for the intake so im not left sitting on my hands watching everyone else post up there new beautiful hks intakes. Placed the order got confirmation right away and another email saying they'd update when they shipped. Next day I finally got a response to my original question but informed them I already went ahead and ordered the intake. No biggie these smaller companies get busy totally understandable. A day or 2 later I get a email from them stating there is a delay on the intake and politely offers either waiting for the piece and keeping your place in line or a refund. Very nice of them . I responded to keep my place and wait it out. they got back with a confirmation to that in a timely manner and im still waiting for the intake at this point as they are due I believe in a couple weeks. I will post an update once I receive it. Overall good experience just a little slower on customer questions . no biggie
Soho Motorsports in NC - I called in the am and was talking to some one after a couple rings. They were awesome answered all my questions gave me rough estimates and helped me with any additional information I needed. They were so awesome I making a 8hr drive there to have my car tuned via ecutek . Cant wait to visit their shop and praise them for their amazing customer service and help. Thanks GUYS!! Definitely check them out !! you will not be disappointed
RT Tuning in PA - Holy shit talk about a different story. Very polite and Nice on the phone however I still have yet to receive a estimate . I originally called about a quote on spring install and alignment . They had to look it up and would email me a quote? weird should be a pretty easy rate to quote. Well 4 days later I call back to ask them about ecutek tuning and have them ad that to the quote. The gentleman I spoke to told me he'd inform the guy originally quoting me for the springs and they would get me the quote. They did inform me they had a lot of quotes to do so they were a little backed up and thats why its taking a bit. Call me old fashion but this is just not stellar customer service. I decided ok well I guess ill still get the quote but at that point I had pretty much decided I should go elsewhere. update 9/15 - had great email correspondence with David over at r/t . He emailed me my estimate which was on the higher end of others I received . Due to the time frame I had already booked with another shop . However when I informed him of the price difference and other reasons why I had booked elsewhere he was nothing but appreciative of the info and asked for more details to improve their operation. He mentioned he would bring up the pricing in a meeting and some the other stuff I mentioned. He also encouraged me to reach out for other jobs as he would always try to price match or beat competitors pricing. I definitely would like to note that this extra customer support is greatly appreciated even though we couldn't come together on the job in a manner that worked for me.
Import Intelligence in PA - after a yelp search and hearing about them locally called about my Supra to get hks adjustable springs installed .So called to ask about adjustable springs install after seeing that as their advertised services on their website. Was told that they donāt do that there ? Itās something I can do in my driveway in probably 6 hrs with a low pro jack . I was trying to save time by taking it to a professional shop with a lift and air tools but was turned away not sure how you can say your import specialist and canāt install adjustable hks spring on a new Supra ! Gave 2 stars because the person on the phone recommended another shop possibly to try . STEER CLEAR
Penn Muffler & Brake Pennsauken Nj - Another Yelp find After reading the reviews I thought great let me give them them a call to discuss a custom exhaust on a Supra . The first gentleman I spoke to on the phone was helpful and very polite . So why I was in the area the following day I decided to stop in so I could get a more exact quote as instructed by the first guy I spoke to on the phone . This is where my 1 star comes from . I walk in to a grumpy ass old man sitting at the counter who doesnāt even greet me until I stand in front of the window for a minute. Then in the same grumpy attitude address me. I explain I called yesterday and how I had talked to someone previously and because I couldnāt remember the name shrugs me off as Iām trying to explain the job. āOk sorry I canāt remember his name but I did speak to a gentlemen here about the jobā with out saying anything slides a pink pad and pen through the window . Fill this out itāll be a hour atleast 4 ahead of you . I say just for a quick estimate if you guys can do the job ? Yea - his one word answer. Well I didnāt Have a hour to wait before it even gets put on a lift . So I pushed the pad back and said Iāll have to come back . Then this guy rudely says well on a day you have the time then come back . Ludicrous response to ever address a customer in that tone . You never know what your customers day or time or work is . I own a business and would fire one of my employees for addressing a client that way and at the same time losing out on a decently expensive job. Iād never trust my car being cared for the way it should after dealing with this guys attitude. I canāt say anything about their work because I never made it that far but no way in hell am Iām leaving one of my vehicles with a company who treated me the way I was . Not willing to take a chance on that same crappy attitude going into the handling of a brand new car that should be treated with care .
Sports Car Tire Wilmington DE - Went to these guys for tires for my new wheels. Man loved the vibes of a old tire shop but they also have the new tech as well. Immediate assistance super helpful . Took tons of time helping me find the right tire for the best price. (actually beat tire racks pricing) If you guys are in the area and need some tires check these guys out you will not be disappointed!!
Ok thats it for now ill add more experiences as they come. To all the members that have experiences good or bad post them up . Lets create a great thread with tons of information for us members to get the best service and best pricing and best products available . Take Care Drive safe burn that rubber up and enjoy our A90's!
